Kat, I thought I made that clear in my new wording? no?
Ok. Jesse and Nutty got me. I was ready to move over to 48, because I thought maybe I was just being too pushy, but when oh when do we not have 10 posters within a 24 hour period?
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

if there aren't 10 indignant people within 24 hours
Looking at the stats, one would be ill-advised to get pissed off early Sunday morning. Pretty much a tiny fraction of the traffic of the rest of the week.
Yeah, that's reasonable, Kat. If one person attempts a social enforcement on-thread, and it clearly fails, then I don't mind if it's someone else who brings it to Bureaucracy. After all, the whole point is that it's more than one person with an axe to grind.

That would require unanimity. We never have that.
but....but... we will for my stuff.

Hey! Stop calling me longpants.
But honestly, Sundays are dead days. What's the downside to 48 hours, especially if one usually gets the support in a fraction of that?
I thought that too the first time I saw moveitalongpants. And, I have been calling you that in my head ever since.
Also I echo Dana's request that you not kill me.
I don't think the discussion will be over at 10 and I'm not sure it should be. Buffistas like to add their 2 cents, and I don't see the good in stopping them.
This is especially true when the process gets to #4, I think.
Again, I'm just feeling things out, and not really married to my opinions just yet.
Okay, I like the idea that after 6 months of good behavior, you get a clean slate. That was a concern in the back of my head that I kept forgetting to mention.
Also, would it be possible to make it policy that once the issue gets picked up in Bureaucracy, it gets dropped in the original thread? This way we let the thread get back to its topicy goodness and we're not debating on two fronts.
