Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Swouncing

Seeing as I can't use that thread even if it ends up existing, the only contribution to the community I can offer in the matter is to count the votes. So if you want me to, I will.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I love the show and even voted for it when we had the "informal poll" last year. I'm glad that more people have picked up on it over the summer and I definitely think it's worth discussing in it's own thread.

Rules call for four days of discussion and three days of voting, give or take a few hours. So voting should start first thing Monday morning. It would be most convenient for me if I can set up a ballot before I head for work on Monday, so how about voting starts 5:00AM Board Time (PDT), Monday Aug. 22? Any objections? Jim?

We also need a volunteer to count votes.

t edit x-post with Nilly.

ita -- can you set her up with the votes alias?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I do think the show lends itself to the kind of in-depth analysis we used to do for the Jossverse show, so I'm very much pro-VM thread. Can't keep up with the Natter, and I felt wee bit guilty about bubbling about it on Boxed Set, where it doesn't really belong. The only thing that made me wonder was whether the thread will get enough traffic, since not enough Buffistas appeared to be watching it due to its many scheduling conflicts--but I think enough people have picked it up over the summer that a thread will be worhwhile.

(Yay!)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

If we get a VM thread, we may get to witness the first-ever dual-thread watch-and-post. That would be fun.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I could live with a VM thread. I'm in support of this.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

P-C's Veronic Mars love got me interested in watching it this summer and I now understand his love. I would support a VM thread.

Aww, it was me?! I didn't know that! I'm glad you loved it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If we do end up with a VM thread, it's going to fire off all my organisation reflexes. I'd really want a TV folder, for neatness's sake.

Except then that threatens to open a whole can of ugly worms.
