Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Ann, that's a ferret.

I disagree (ETA: with the proposal). We're BUFFistas. It was Buffy that brought us together originally, way back when.

I support a separate Buffy thread to honor our origins.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Wow, Kat! I don't think I know how to do that. It takes absolutely no effort for me to have an opinion. Even if I was utterly uninformed just moments before.

Anyway, I have only a mild and deferrable opinion here.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Just to restate my position -- I like the nostalgia of keeping new threads, but ultimately don't care if we combine.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like the idea of combining them, because they are after all, one 'verse, and I think about them in conjunction much more now (even if it is to contrast them) and it feels organic.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yeah, we'll always have Sunnydale in the archived threads, but there's been enough cross-show discussion in the two threads recently that i think combining is a good idea.

Oh, who am I kidding? I love the idea of a thread named BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

I'm for combining the threads. We talk about them together sometimes, and it works well in either thread so far as I've seen.

And just to be contrary (someone has to take responsibility for that in a voting discussion): I don't really like the 4EVAH!!1! title. Because ASSCAPS, interrobangsemphatibangs, and joke spelling make me laugh from time to time, but I think having it as a title for a thread that will be around, well, 4EVAH!!11!, will be unfortunate to look at every day. (I do enjoy the Lost thread title, I admit, but it lacks at least one of the three elements, you see.)

But the level of my caring about that is minimal and totally personal preference. Just thought I'd throw it out there, because, you know, voting discussion - it's never just straightforward.

Edited for using the wrong made-up word.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Are we discussing combining threads? Cause I want to go on record, for the first time ever, as NO OPINION! I have no concerns one way or another.

Whoo-hoo! Me too!

Except I love the title and I'll probably vote yea on that basis alone.

Well, to be pedantic, there are no interrobangs in "Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!" So it should slip through too.

Which isn't to say I don't know what you mean.

JenP - Mar 04, 2005 7:33:14 am PST #5096 of 10289

Oh, you are right. I use the term wrong. Whatever that's called then. Emphatibangs? Anyway, the thing with the ones hurts my eyes.
