I'm more concerned about the definitions, since I see what I want rushing towards the horizon.
But is that how Spoiler Lite has been discussed here? Discussion-lite, announcement heavy, but no meaty announcements right there -- basically a no-natter zone.
I still don't get the linking rationale. If a friend tells me he's been cast as Jack's father in whatever show, I really have to go make a post in LJ and link back to it?
Is there much objection out there to simply having the Lite stuff whitefonted in the regular threads (Lost or Natter or wherever)? As a non-spoiler person, I'd be perfectly happy with that.
ita if you know somebody has been cast as the hot new electrician on Desperate Housewives (for example), I can't see why you couldn't post that in white font (if that is what we decide) or directly.
I think sometimes the lightness or not of the spoiler may be up to personal judgement.
Also, I said link because most times it seems like casting spoilers or whatever come from other sites.
Also, many of the shows we're talking about are new -- so it is less easy to decide what is going to be catastrophic and ruin hsq and what will not.

If I know that he sleeps with Susan, then do I need to externally host it?
Basically (and here is where the ex-Liters may get pissed) I don't see the point of a thread with no discussion and only half the spoilers. It seems...coy.
That's a plot thingy -- wouldn't that go in real spoilers? Or would a real spoiler be that the hot new electrician kills Mike's dog and then sleeps with Susan in Mike's kitchen?
wouldn't that go in real spoilers?
But I'm not going into real spoilers. What's the point? I can't participate in discussion there, since I'll get spoiled for Lost.
Is the Alias spoiler
that Gina Torres will be back,
at this early juncture -- heavy or light?
Lots of these things seem to be subjective.

Exactly why I don't get the thread.
If
she's been on the show before, then i'd call it heavy; that's a character coming back as well as an actress. If Alan Tudyk were joining the cast, OTOH, that would be light. I have no idea whether details of his role would be at this point.
