Ok, even so. And I'd think we could get volunteers to do each week's Nillying, unless that would cause rights probelms in Nillytown.
eta: Didn't someone say they were running together later in the season? I could be thinking of different shows.
'Get It Done'
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

When would the vote start if we were to count from the origiinal proposal? Thursday afternoon, or Friday?
Edit: Also, one other questioon, since this post is just hangiing out there on its lonesome. One of the reasons the ballot is worded as it is, is that I find the idea of having to have more or less the same discussion and vote every time we want a show thread this season -- probably two or three times -- hugely depressing and boring, as it's been depressing and boring every time we've tried to start a thread in the past, and was trying to prevent that by starting (or, at least, seeing what support there was for starting) all the threads at once. To me, this is incredibly obvious. But I'm starting to think it's just me. If it's just me, the voting process should not be used to serve my particular neuroses, and I'll withdraw this and do a poll instead.
(Maybe. I'm also quite tempted to just write the best proposal I can and ride this out to the end, as an experiment in participatory democracy. If I make up my mind before I have to, there will probably be a parade.)
As far as I can tell, the primary issues we're trying to resolve are a)too much whitefont in Natter, b)too much whitefont period, and c)difficulty locating dicussion on shows you want to discuss.
Just out of curiousity, how many people have been bothered by the whitefont in Natter thus far?
Lost is Wednesday and is supposed to run new Episodes through sweeps, at least. Alias has been (and I suppose will continue to be) on Sundays, and begins in January, but they've been marketed as being consecutive rather than competing.
Dead Like Me, Huff, the L Word, QaF, are all on Showtime, Sunday nights, 10 est, and run consecutively.
eta: I'm not bothered by the white font, I just can't find it, and/or the conversation's already over. I don't often post in Natter and forget that the conversation might be there for Alias. I don't know where to talk about DLM.

It bugs me somewhat. Not a major issue or anything.
I feel about Lost like I did about Buffy - which is really excited about it. I'm already calling it my new Buffy. So yes, I'd love to have a thread all about Lost.

Deena is me in this matter. On a 1-10 scale of annoyances, whitefont is about a two. Not being able to participate in the conversation because I can't find it is, say, a seven.
Rayne, go you on the new program!
I feel about Dead Like Me the same way I did for Buffy, or perhaps a little more, even. I'm quite intrigued by Lost, but I missed the second half of the pilot and haven't been able to find it in a useable format anywhere.
I don't think there's a single show (and I include my everloving OC among them) this season that warrants a thread. Not yet, anyway, and I wouldn't know which to vote for for a couple months at best.
Come January, you'll be in love. Maybe we can switch out the Wonderfalls purse with someone's new, dark, bloodthirsty baby.
Cranky bastards who don't post get no Furyworld threads.
Yep. Your guy is more threadworthy than my guy. My guy is like one of those cartoon characters with the wee dark raincloud following him everywhere. It's sort of endearing, and yet, no.
I can't keep up in Natter, so the discussions there, white-font or not are lost (heh, heh) to me.
