Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

My concerns, as always, are technical:

Would this invite a new influx?

Would this (either the new thread or the potential influx) put a strain on the board?

So far, it seems that the tech people are not worried. Is this correct? I'm very confused now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am, as always, against thread proliferation.

However, when a thread seems to be so much like the point of our board, it's almost like "Shall we have natter 24?"

There's my line. If we endorse show discussion, explicitly, my mental thread count has always been to accept a show thread and a spoiler thread.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My stand is with ita.

There's my line. If we endorse show discussion, explicitly, my mental thread count has always been to accept a show thread and a spoiler thread.

Because, yeah, this.

Okay. Kewl. Thanks.

Art Crawl!!!

I think a WF spoilers thread is a good idea.

And it could have a very oblique name that wouldn't be obvious to everyone.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I'm with ita. Anti-thread proliferation in general, but this seems to fit within our identity, and definitely has a specific need. Some people will need to talk about the unaired episodes, and some definitely won't want to. We don't want a whitethread fiasco, so this is probably best.

I don't think we can really deal with the link issues. We just need to not do anything illegal in the thread. Did we ever put up our disclaimer about posts being owned by the poster and not necessarily the opinions or sanctioned by the board which, after all, is only a theoretical entity and not actually a person or corporation, although it is a corpus? Because now might be a good time to do that.

But I'm fine with a discreet title, insofar as that might help. Lovesick, my Ass? Though I'm guessing with all the publicity, it's probably someone's job to read us, so I doubt there will be much in the way of long-term subterfuge.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Lovesick, my Ass

I like this.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, we've seen that what brings traffic is breaking news. I imagine there are already spoilers out there, and it's just not what we're known for. (Hee! We're "known"! EEK!) I don't think talking about the episodes will really bring much new traffic, honestly.

Lovesick, my Ass

That, is a thing of beauty.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Would this invite a new influx?

How can there be a new influx. Everyone's already here.
