Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I don't want to get into arguments about what percentage counts blah blah -- the principle that it's the proposer's responsibility should extend to any changes the proposer wants to make. That logically includes withdrawing a ballot.

Yes, I agree vehemently with this. And thank you for stating more succinctly what I was stumbling through.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I might be late in setting up the ballot. I'm going out immediately after work and I'm not sure when I'll get home, or what state I'll be in when I do get home.

(Shoulda dealt with it last night, but didn't think ahead. My bad.)

Nobody

Are we having a ballot, Jon? I thought we weren't?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Has DX officially made his call?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Not yet. Still thinking about it.

At this point we might as well have the ballot, unless you want to remove it for strategic purposes, which is not the vibe I'm getting. Let's moratorium this issue and lay to rest the Burrell theory once and for all!

I agree with Wolfram. Also, I'm curious to see if it gets more support from the voting population than the vocal posting population.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Well-- if we want to see that I think someone needs to cobble together a pro/con to be posted so non-voting thread reading Buffistas don't see the proposal and think it is a great idea without realizing it solves little to nothing becuase of logistical issues.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Sophia, I really disagree. I am sorry if we have voters that may not take the time to read the discussion about the issues, but we haven't added pros and cons to any of the other ballots and to do so on this one really seems to be leading the vote in one direction. It doesn't feel right to me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We did it last time, with a general agreement that it was a good idea.
