Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Okay I can't do this in two threads at once. I'm going back to Bureaucracy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just reposting Sophia's post:

Discussion: NOW - 3/24/03 11:59 pm EST
Voting: 3/25/03 12 am EST - 3/28/03 12:00 am EST

When we first started this whole voting thing, our ultimate goal was to be able to close discussions and not have them over and over and over and over....

PROPOSAL:

After a proposal, discussion and vote, further discussion on this matter should be closed for:

3 months 6 months 1 year

In discussion, I would like to narrow this to 2 choices so we need not get into trying to decide how to vote.

Proposer Sophia Brooks
Seconds Anne, Sean K, brenda M. ,Deena , Jessica

OK, so this is just a minimum period of time, right? We wouldn't have to revisit anything, right? I'd say give it three and six months. A year is like forever in internet time.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I agree with jesse. I only included a year because it was the original idea proposed at WX.

So...

Three months, six months, or a year? Discuss....

Me? I can't say for sure yet. A year seems too long for me, but I can't tell if three or six months would be better.

I can see the benefit in making things go away for six, considering sometimes dicussion can be heated, but six months is a lot of virtual time. Heck, six months is a lot of time IRL.

Well, there's my waffling contentlessness.

Three and six.

A year is too long.

I'd also like to repeat my offer from Bureaucracy here:

To wit - If anybody feels their tempers getting up, or their blood boiling, and feels the need to lash out, please send it my way. I will gladly take any and all abuse, if it helps my beloved Buffistas get along.
