There was one guy, an older man in a suit, who stood on the side of the march with a megaphone and a sign that said "EVERYTHING IS FINE", and tried to "pay off" people to stop marching with fake $100 bills. Pretty entertaining.
That is awesome.
It's a beautiful windows-and-doors open day here today.
As is this. I delight in those days.
It's grey and drizzly here, which is okay because that makes it feel Halloween-y.
I made the mistake of sleeping too much last night, and I feel like I haven't fully woken up, nor will I completely wake up. All I really have to wrangle is washing the dishes, the grocery delivery, and maybe a short ride on the bike,* so I think I'll survive.
*My hip isn't 100% better after PT, but it has been amenable to very short rides on the bike, and I'm adding a little bit of time each ride.
Happy Birthday, Callie!
We just had brunch with some friends for another friend who was in town for a wedding. Yum and fun.
Rest of the day should be chill.
It is beautiful and 70 here today! Crazy when it was 28 when I woke up a couple days ago.
I have an odd thing happening behind my place here. Someone must have diverted the water flow somewhere because I have water where I never had water in the last 20 years. This after a summer of draught, when in super wet summers it didn't occur there. I could probably kayak to the lake as it goes to the inlet. I have to go Monday and talk to the conservation department because it shouldn't be happening. My biggest concern is that it is bordering where my septic field is so that isn't good. I have the engineering report from a couple years ago when they did the septic so that should show where the actual wetlands should be. If they have a big snow year (as expected) it could be a real issue in the spring.
Otherwise, nice day. My nephew is coming over to do stuff to my car and my son's to prep for the drive back. Son has done absolutely nothing to prepare. Niece is making fettuccini alfredo later then we are going to the movies. I'm not bothering to invite son to either as he will just want to stay on his computer game all day and night. Seriously, how does a 33 year old spend 16+ hours a day on games. I'll never understand.
