When you look back at this, in the three seconds it'll take you to turn to dust, I think you'll find the mistake was touching my stuff.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So, I have my little post work podcast routine these days, ease out of being business!-t with Marketplace, switch over to Midnight Burger to get ready for whatever might come next (which is generally reading whatever book I am trying to finish before it is due back at the library but could theoretically be more exciting) so I hear a bunch of ads. The one for I’m not sure what, some phone service maybe, which told me to imagine I was a purveyor of pillows and tomorrow was National Sleep Day so my pillows have to get delivered but my vendor isn’t answering their phone OH NOES but not to worry I have 5 G or something that solves all my problems except there’s no explanation why my having 5 G would make my vendor answer their phone! I play the vendor role to many customers and it would cut no ice with me! I get all worked up because the plot of this ad is too full of holes. Just shoddy craftmanship. They don’t make ‘em like they used to.

But what I heard today was an ad for Asana, which we actually use at work, but when the ad started by saying “When you’re stressed, Asana can really help you” or something along those lines, I heard “ a sauna can really help you” which made sense and made me want to go sit in a sauna. Which I could theoretically do while I read with my waterproof e-reader. But I’d have to get dressed, so that probably won’t happen.

hwæt

Well, I lasted about an hour before the agoraphobia got to me. Times Square was pretty damn crowded.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

An hour is pretty damn good in a crowd like that! That's way too many people for me.

Our wings are not tired.

Who is marching tomorrow? I kind of feel like I have to, even though my anxiety is already over the top.

My sister is here with me making signs now. Adirondack themed stolen from others....pictures later.

An hour in Times Square under normal circumstances seems like a lot, never mind during a protest!!

A sauna sounds great, -t. I would like that. I am looking forward to December when I will be at a place with a hot tub.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I lasted about an hour and a half. Half protest signs half runner signs. I did see some protester shirts on runners which was cool.

An hour is long, Tom! Thanks for braving the crowd!

I have a virtual event today, which I finally feel well enough for.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Seemed like a good crowd here in Nashville! Our signs were "With fear for our democracy, I dissent" and "Make Orwell Fiction Again." It lasted about an hour and then we marched the length of a nearby city park where our local book festival is being held this weekend, so lots of people (us included) peeled off there.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all.

I am still in Florida, so no marching for me. Not that I would be marching if I were at home. (For one thing, Mr. S is home this weekend and taking him would not end well. For another thing, I’m a federal employee and I don’t want to risk my job.)

Otherwise I am ok, if sick of deli.
