Runny eggs, ewww. I generally like eggs all ways, but not so much the runny. Enjoy the glorious day, and dinner tonight!
We had our first frost! 28 degrees yesterday morning. No final plan for heading south while I wait for Brendon to get his act together.
I created a FB group page for my condo to coordinate socialization, and it has gone well, except for an influx of fake people looking to join the private group. Why!?!?!? The accounts are almost always a couple with 2-4 children. I think we have 2 families with children in the buildings. It is mostly middle aged or retired people. Located on the A1A strip in Ft. Lauderdale with no playground or kid friendly amenities for the most part, it really doesn't attract couples with little kids. Kids come and visit their grandparents, but that is about it. Anyway, I was showing the people trying to join to the front desk person, but now they just have to wait to be denied until I get back. I still don't get why people who don't live there would try and join. Oh well.
Otherwise, just dealing with trying to get my son to be more productive, figuring out the logistics of buying out mom's house from the sibs, and trying to keep productive myself.
I did make an appointment for acupuncture for my painful knee, and a nice bath and nail trim for Skinner before the 3-day road trip back home. My son will probably be bringing his cat to Florida with him. Right now he is still at the apartment with the GF and their 2nd cat. He's worried about the road trip with him but I haven't had any issues so it should be fine.
I don't like runny eggs by themselves, but I do like how they thicken and enrich things like shakshuka or ramen.
Yesterday was literally adding insult to brain injury so today is better even if it's not great.
Had egg-drop soup and wontons for lunch today, which was both good and I was starving from mostly having medication(Pepto, Gas X, et al) for dinner yesterday, surrounded by a little chicken and rice.
Have slightly lost the urge to smack some of the people that have told me my whole life that "God never gives you more than you can handle," although the thought that some of the earliest ones are dead now is slightly more comforting than seems civilized.(He may not, but peristalsis does, very much. don't know if that was a sub-contract gone wrong, but I'm putting a note in the suggestion box or whatever.)
ETA: Meant to say this yesterday, but didn't because of my...cleanse, but I actually found "South Park" emotionally satisfying the other day...Kyle's mom busted Bibi's chops for being a bad person and trying to wrap it up in Judaism. Also, some Mom greatest hits like "Watch your tone," and "Look at me when I'm talking to you."
I’m glad you’re able to have food for food again, erikaj. GI problems can be miserable.
I realized I was debating ancient food ways and inequity with an anarchist on tumblr. And I said out loud, “Jesus, I need to get a job.”
I am spending my Saturday flying to Frankfurt for a work conference (sadly, I was NOT invited to attend Frankfurt Book Fair) but since my flight lands at 8:30 Sunday morning, I booked myself a Rhine Valley tour day trip to keep me awake and beat the jet lag. Wish me scenery and good wine!
Misread anarchist as antichrist and did a nod and "you go." Well I guess that works for both.
ETA: in our misspent yout' we camped up the Rhine to Holland and loved every lumpy night and day of it. Have wonderful views and whatever food's available, Jess.
