Then tomorrow morning I see the dentist for the broken tooth (which still doesn't hurt, which is so weird), tomorrow afternoon I have PT, and tomorrow night I have a haircut (y'all should see how long my hair is -- I haven't gotten it cut since May 2024, just out of indifference, but I'm getting several inches off).
And Saturday I'm getting a flu shot and Covid shot. I never leave the house this much in one week!
That is a full day! I hope all the appointments go well.
meara, I am happy to live vicariously through your trip!
Ditto! All y'all need to travel more for us.
Steph I hope today goes smoothly for y'all.
The teeth cleaning wasn't so bad. Except my upper gums didn't get numbed enough so it was a little painful but by the time I realized it was going to be an issue the whole thing was over . I got a new electric toothbrush and prescription toothpaste and mouth wash the toothpaste I use once a night after my brushing/flossing and don't rinse. Then the mouth wash in the morning but I couldn't get the pump thing to work so I skipped this morning.
Also made an appointment with Mom's hairdresser (who I've had cut my hair before) for a haircut next Tuesday since I'll be up there for the 2nd dentist appointment. I'm going short again. Not sure exactly what but back to pixie undercut style.
I'm also picking up what I call "the unicorn of my dreams" because I have to be OTT about this... Neptune | Unicorn Stallion — BreyerHorses.com [link]
It's the Bryer unicorn stallion Neptune and he is magnificent. I have been eyeing him for....almost 2 years when I first saw him at OP Taylor's (the toy store). I decided since I was an adult and finally got my teeth cleaned and dealt with pain I was going to reward myself. They didn't have him there but at another shop so they'll have him next Tuesday.
I have a bunch of the mini winnie and stable mate blind bags and I'm really only interested in the units and the cool colored horses. I'm going to get a shelf and some kind of lighting to show off his iridescent glory
I'm also picking up what I call "the unicorn of my dreams"
That is a glorious unicorn! At my therapist's office, if you go down the hall past her office there's a nook with shelves and it's full of unicorns. I'll take a picture today.
Tim is at chemo* and I am at home trying to eat a quick lunch before I leave for therapy in 20 minutes. Then back to the hospital to collect Tim. Starting next week, his chemo is on Tuesdays, so I won't have to leave in the middle for therapy and then come back. It's only 2 miles back and forth between the hospital and my therapist's office, but it's annoying to go out and back. Also my hip hurts after PT yesterday, and even with the cane to shore me up, all this running around is a bit much.
*While we were there, someone rang the bell signalling that they were done with their chemotherapy regimen, everyone clapped and cheered, and I cried. It's that kind of day.
Go Tim!! The friend I’m on this trip we were originally supposed to go in January but she got cancer and was getting chemo then. She’s doing good now! May Tim do just as well.
Have arrived in Chiang Mai—our place here is not nearly as cute or nice as the one we had in Seoul sadly. I’m wishing we’d got a hotel instead.
