I expect Tim's new super powers to manifest on Halloween

I'm on vacation starting day after tomorrow, a little family reunion sort of thing for my dad's 84th birthday (we tried to do this for his 80th but traveling and gathering seemed unwise at the time so it got delayed until, I guess, now). I decided to head to my parents' house after work today because the office is halfway there, and wfh there tomorrow so we can all leave together tomorrow evening and be in vacation mode asap. So I was packing last night and this morning. Had my personal laptop and preferred water bottle next to the bags I was packing but did not actually pack them. Sigh.

Voted in the special election to replace my district's U.S. House Rep. today. He died earlier this year. Should be blue replacing blue.

Oofdah, EM came over this morning and we spent 3.5 doing a deep clean, primarily in my bedroom.

So everything got hauled out from under the bed, there was much dusting and vacuuming and culling of closets and putting JZ's stuff into storage and discarding some of my stuff, and making closet space and like that.

Did the dishes and the laundry too, and wound up carrying four bags down to her car for Goodwill dropoff.

I am a tired sweaty sweatball.

People are being wrong at work and it is kinda driving me crazy.

Manage people and stop rewarding bad workers by lessening their load.

People being wrong at work is worse than people being wrong on the internet!

Four bags is a lot. We do it more frequently because it's too hard to take more than two.(Also, there's no storage in here...it's awful, in a diamond-shoe problem sort of way--it's less diamond-shoe when you factor in how few spots I can actually reach, though.)

Writing group yesterday was fine--I didn't meet the whole group yet, but I kind of don't think there will be any Rayanne Graff types in it. (Can't decide which is sadder, that that's true or that I'm nearly fifty-two and only had, like half a wing-woman, cumulatively, in my own so-called life. And I still need one, I think.) But the group might still be good practice.

Rewatching MSCL because it was JZ's favorite, and there is a lot that I'd forgotten, anyway because I only watched it once, probably at her vehement urging. I'm sorry that writing about people doesn't seem like enough anymore in many places.

--t, it's a little harder to tell the people at work to shut their pieholes without consequences, I'll tell ya what.
