Timelies all!
Ugh, I did not sleep well. I woke up sometime in the 2 o'clock hour, went back to sleep, then woke up every hour until we got out of bed around 9:30. This was not at all helped by Mr. S refusing to go to sleep until after 10, then claiming he had a nightmare and went to sleep on our floor. One of the many ways he tries to make us do what he wants, all the time.
I tried to get my phone battery replaced but when I got there the guy was like “so there’s a chance we break your phone when we do this. If so we’d replace it, but we don’t have a replacement handy, do you want us to order one so it’s on hand?” And I’m like “or risk being entirely without a phone for several days? Yes please” So now I have to go back to the Genius Bar on Thursday. But I got a bunch of cheap pride merch at Michael’s, for the party I always throw, which was fun. And I did week 6 day 1 of couch to 5K! And it wasn’t impossible! My watch did think I was running a lot faster than my treadmill but it’s time based not distance.
I have been trying to get home from Richmond since Thursday. Finally on a connecting flight through Philly, so I got up at 4:30 for the privilege of having a cheese steak for breakfast. Hopefully flights to DFW are actually landing today.
Yikes, Dana. Sending travel vibes your way.

PHL --> DFW
Flightaware shows the 5:00 a.m. flight was cancelled. The other two so far this morning are currently
en route
.
Looks like the worst weather in Dallas is this evening, so we'll hopefully beat it. I seriously cannot spend another day fighting this. I was lucky enough to be staying with friends who put me up Thursday-Saturday. Yesterday's flight was canceled as we were standing in the jetway because the plane was leaking fuel. We couldn't get rescheduled yesterday. I'm out of meds, I'm having to reschedule work meetings, and I miss my pillow.
So sorry for the travel delays.
I had family in town and took off Friday. Lots of walking Friday - Sunday. I could have slept in until probably noon, alas have to work.
Getting focused is a challenge. Might take a nap for lunch.
Oh my god, Dana, what a nightmare. Good luck!!
I have not yet recovered from my Friday working at alumni day, since I had too many items this weekend, but at least I have a quiet day at work.
I ended up reading most of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance while cat sitting - kitty demanded company while eating and liked petting and cuddles. I ended up reading most of Ayn Rand in my 'teens.
For book recommendations, how about The Kaiju Preservation Society. It's fairly light, as such things go and I enjoyed it a lot.
I am currently all alone in the office ... the main downside is that every five to seven minutes, the lights go out and I have to scoot away from my desk to wave my hands in the air to get them back on. Seemingly, it's something I have to live with.
