JenP, I ran into something similar with my Cymbalta prescription(s) until I asked my doctor if we couldn't get the prescription dose with multiples of the smaller pill and stick to one size for a lower total cost. Who could have guessed that psychiatrists aren't intuitive with math and accounting?

If you turn out to need the medication after all, it looks like that approach would have saved you $25/month with UHC, and might at least simplify things with your new insurer.

a couple of panels where Seanan McGuire tried to overload the autocaption by chanting "butts, butts, butts".

“butt” why? What’s in it for overloading the auto caption?

Ha, right? That's a great idea, Matt, thanks. If I do continue it, I will definitely ask her to prescribe it that way to see whether it'll fly. In fact, I'll just ask her to do that first thing out of the gate with Cigna which starts next month.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Poor Tim, I hope the yogurt and percocet is soothing.

He had me stop for ice cream (rainbow sherbet and peach) on the way back from physical therapy this morning.

Which: OUCH. The physical therapist added new exercises today and my leg currently hates her, me, and the whole world. I am eagerly looking forward to my next dose of ibuprofen at 3.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Anyone use ginger candy for nausea and have a recommendation? I really, really, really do not want to vomit because of the Zepbound.

MAXIMUM GINGER chewy lozenge: [link]

But also ask your doctor if they'll prescribe Zofran (ondansetron) for you. That really helps.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I just get candied ginger. The hard candy might work better for sucking on over a long time though.

When I was on 30 mg of Celexa with UHG I took one and a half 20 mg pills. Now that I’m with CIGNA I have to do the two prescription thing with a 20 and a 10.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Candied ginger is great.

Huffing ginger in any form can be helpful.

Stirring this into seltzer at various strengths is a big hit 'round here: [link] It also makes its way into cream of rice when not much food feels like staying down.

You can also keep alcohol wipes handy. If you rip one open under your nose and take a good hard whiff it can stop vomiting in its tracks. My aunt the nurse taught me that. It doesn't work forever, but it'll keep someone from booting on you or while you're moving them to a preferred booting locale.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I do like the Gin-Gins hard candies that Steph linked.

I also like these, from Tummydrops: [link]

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I should probably try this. Any time I get any way under the weather, my system at least debates a vomit. Maybe my stomach's like Dawn all "GET OUT! GET OUT!"
