Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration

Man, you gave me a vivid sense memory of getting off a plane and getting hit by a wall of humidity. Keep it frosty, bro of Tep
Sometimes I have these thoughts, like, "will Kohl's status as a meme stock help move more of the items they are buying from us to feature on Black Friday?" and I have no one to share them with so y'all get 'em. Sorry. I just can't leave that rattling around in my head with no escape.
Poo, I bombed on the Wordle. Too many options.
Huh. I got the Wordle in 4 but I had to actually use hints for Strands, which I usually find very easy. Brains are weird. Of course, I probably shouldn't be doing either at 1 am but I was on deadline and still up so...
Oh, I seem to have skipped Strands entirely after not getting anything right away.... Oops
I bombed on the Wordle. Too many options.
Me too! And yes on needing hints on Strands, too, which was annoying.
Yep, needed hints to get through Strands. That rarely happens, but I kept getting part pf the Spangram and not clicking that the word was only part of what I was supposed to get... My only complaint about Connections is that I feel like they must have done
state abbreviations
before but I am not sure that's true and not sure that it matters if it is. Anyway, tough NYT gaming day!
Yes, the NYT was not kind today at all. eta: Yes, I thought there was a repeat in Connections too.

50 years ago, when I worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer, I was hanging in the lobby chatting with co-workers at the end of the day, as one does. One after the other we listened to people exiting the revolving doors and saying 'Oh My God', all of them, one after another. We assumed there was an accident or something, and continued to gab until we departed and rolled through the revolving doors, only to exclaim 'Oh My God', because it was summer in the city, hot as a wall of fire outside.
Also, Fort Lauderdale is much hotter than Otter Lake. A/C is the best thing ever.
Timelies all!
I have done something to my left knee, and it hurts to move it. I have no idea what I did, but it started hurting yesterday. Probably moved it in the wrong direction, or something equally stupid.
Meanwhile, our asshole neighbor is at it again. A few weeks back I noticed some letters addressed to him from various christian groups were showing up in our mailbox. At first I thought they were misdelivered, but then one showed up where he had opened it up, crossed out his name and put my husband's name in and taped it up. All of these groups are of course claiming to care about Israel. Today's letter was from Jews for Jesus. Really, dude?
Ewww, that is creepy, Sheryl.
Wow, Sheryl, that's some pretty bad neighboring!
Yikes, Sheryl, what a jerk.
Well, the Honey Ginger Salmon with Peach Salsa was really good -- if do say so myself -- and just the salmon glaze part will be good on its own with no peach salsa, so, yay, another good treatment for salmon.
And now I just have one peach left, so I think I am going to just eat that one, because yum. I did make blueberry cobbler (someone suggested peach cobbler, which made me think of it) with the blueberries I got, so I managed to get a dessert out of the haul, too. Excellent.
