Our wings are not tired.

I became so annoyed with the vet-required scripts to obtain the preventatives that I decided to order them from New Zealand instead. I couldn't use a faxed script; they required original copies mailed. While I am up here, I can stock up in person since they just had their annual visits.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

EM came by this morning and took Matilda off to her doctor appointment to follow up on her blood tests and check in about her new AD meds.

I've paid a bill via actual check in mail, made a derm appointment, and successfully applied for an AmEx card with a bonus SkyMiles account for Delta (my preferred carrier).

Did you know if you buy something with an AmEx card they automatically double the length of your warranty on that item?

Yes. Their Purchase Protection also covers theft so I've always made sure that anything I order online is on my Amex card just in case the package gets stolen. And, at least in my case, customer service has always made it easy to actually use this type of benefit. For that alone, Amex has always been worth price of admission.

Fun fact: One of my current main clients has one main client for whom I proof account offers and T&Cs. Guess whose benefits I am now even more intimately familiar with?

My NDA killed the thread.

I didn't know any of this information. I have an Amex card, mostly because I received one at Macy's, and it happens to be a regular Amex card as well.

Being knowledgeable and practical about these things is not one of my superpowers. I have a variety of cards, but I should take the time to review their features and choose more wisely. I tend to use my Amazon Chase card because I always take advantage of the percentage back.

My mother was brilliant with financial management stuff, and I am pretty much haphazard about it. I wish I had inherited that from her. At my age, I need to be more mindful of the enormous mess I leave behind for my family to clean up. Maybe this summer I will get my act together.

I have the Amex Blue Cash Everyday, which is a cash back card with no annual fee. There's a premium version that gives you a lot more cash back on gas and groceries but I prefer the no annual fee since I don't do a ton of grocery store shopping and don't buy gas at all. What I am learning from all these T&Cs is that on any given card from any given company there are usually tons of features, but you have to be really on top of things to take advantage. I just can't be bothered. Especially since I am never one to spend money to save money.

I don't buy gas, but I do a lot of grocery shopping. I really need to take the time to list my cards and see which ones do what. My physician customers pay me with cards to rack up miles. I don't fly enough for that to matter to me.
