The community garden sounds so nice! We have them here called “P-patches” which I always thought was pea patches but I googled and it’s named after a family whose name started with P!

One of the nice things our Real Estate agent did for us as a New Homeowners Present was to buy us a small insurance policy that covered the breakdown of any appliance (A/C, Dishwasher, Dryer, Stove etc.) in the house for one year.
