Right, what's a little sweater sniffing between sworn enemies?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Gud! I'm doing a couch flip in your honor.

No wait, I mean I'll get off the couch at some point in your honor.

Grey morning in SF, but I have a relatively uncomplicated day with good socializing ahead.

My TV issues resolved themselves while I was gone (I couldn't get any of my streaming services except Netflix), so I immediately popped over to HBO and watched the first half of the Paul Reubens /Pee Wee Herman documentary.

It was so good - particularly loved seeing all the footage of him at CalArts where he was very androgynous (early 70s) and beautiful and doing a lot of drag.

His classmates at the time included David Hasselhoff and Katey Segal.

Very sad and moving to see him with his longtime boyfriend who later died of AIDS, and talking about how he had been very out, but went back in the closet when he created Pee Wee.

Punishingly Intricate

Happy birthday, Gud!!

It’s pouring here and looks like it will keep raining for the rest of time?

Everyone was focused on the switch to electric cars, and we should've been investing in amphibious cars.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Definitely a good thing I uncovered all the patio furniture and got the hose hooked up and thoroughly watered the lawn and garden yesterday. It’s been raining since at least 6 AM here.

Our wings are not tired

I’m looking forward to finding time to watch the Paul Reubens doc.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Happy Birthday, Gud! My birthday wish for you is that you recieve as much love as you give.

Also it is raining here in Connecticut. I am very tired of sorting my sweaters for storage because it's 75 degrees, but then the next few days are in the 60s.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I went to a massage therapist yesterday for my pulled quad muscle, and it helped a lot! It feels like 75% better, which is excellent. I'll see her again in a couple of weeks and maybe it'll get completely un-ouchy.

Human bodies require so much maintenance, I tell you what.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I hate car repairs.

I adjusted some things on my car insurance and was all excited because it saved me over $100 on the 6 month premium.

Then the quote for repairs needs on my car, non-working locks, under carriage cover replacement with the braces it connects to. $3500.

Bleargh.

Yikes, msbelle. Would it be worth taking to another mechanic for a second quote?

I’ve been asked to come in for a second interview for one of the jobs I’ve applied to. Yay! I’m not sure if it’s right for me, but that’s part of what interviews are for.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

So I had this (I presume) ganglion cyst on my top knuckle of my middle finger and it was getting big and uncomfortable enough that I was going to discuss it at my next doctor's appointment in a few months and then...

Had too much champagne at a work thing, closed my hand in the fire door when I went to walk the dog - problem solved.

Hurt like hell for about eight seconds when it happened, tender now but not as bad as when the cyst was pre-rupture. I just keep mushing it and hoping it won't come back. Die! Die!
