If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I forgot it was Memorial Day weekend. Anyone have any long weekend special plans?

Checking in from Bachelor Camp, ie a long weekend in the UP (upper peninsula of Michigan) with my friends Jason and Dale and a bunch of their other friends celebrating their upcoming nuptials (which they’ve branded Jalé just because.) We’re in a big house on a lake with a campfire and stuff, gearing up to go hiking later on to Pictured Rocks, which looks amazing. [link]

That looks amazing Brenda! And a cabin with a bunch of friends sounds like an amazing time. I’m sorta glad I don’t have much of anything planned this weekend but also wish I had more things like that planned for the summer! Trying to get a few planned but so far no luck.

Our wings are not tired.

There are some mornings when I breeze through all my puzzles easily, and then there are other mornings when I swear they are just determined to torment me. What I am unclear on is whether it is the puzzle or my brain that differs from day to day. Also, woot! Today, it was easy peasy for all of them.

Same! There are some days that the Spelling Bee leaves me so befuddled, I start to wonder if Tim bonked me in the head overnight and my brain is only functioning for heartbeat and respiration.

I'm sure that the Spelling Bee creators are sometimes meany heads who live to make us suffer. Other times, they feel compassionate and toss in the ing or ed fillers to make us feel accomplished.

Man, a Spelling Bee with I, N, and G makes my entire day!

Man, a Spelling Bee with I, N, and G makes my entire day!

I feel this.

The thing I hate about the Bee is when a perfectly cromulent word is not accepted. I still shake my fist at myoma not being in whatever mysterious dictionary they use.
