Hil, I see what you mean about "Special"--I mean that guy is so out of touch with himself, it's like, an Issue, and it's fine to write about that, I guess, acceptance isn't comedy. But I don't think the show should say it's okay.(It also reminds me that my grandma used to tell me that I could tell people I slipped in the bathtub. Because I am a Buffista, I got a little invested in being Ms. Knowledge, I think, and probably found it novel to know things other folks didn't. Grandma had a point that I could have used, even though in her case there was some denial there--I really didn't have to teach the lesson, every time. I wish I hadn't. Not that I would be their friend as Slipped in The Bathtub--people ask because they're bored, not to get to know you. (And, not, Norman Lear, may your memory be a blessing, to Learn Something Valuable.) Even though still don't really understand why Bathtub Klutz is light-years easier to talk to. (Although I doubt that I'd do the bathtub thing, on the rare occasions when it comes up now, I just say there was an accident when I was born..) I also have to call bullshit on the depictions of money. Everybody doesn't get "CP money" and so it probably took them years of legal wrangling unless Mom got delivered by a doctor who was drunk or some shit like that(Ryan probably wouldn't remember most of that, so it's consistent for him to be naive about it, but it doesn't make sense that Mom would say "Sure, hon, whatever you want," when he uses it, given that.

Checking in from Bachelor Camp, ie a long weekend in the UP (upper peninsula of Michigan) with my friends Jason and Dale and a bunch of their other friends celebrating their upcoming nuptials (which they’ve branded Jalé just because.) That looks amazing Brenda! And a cabin with a bunch of friends sounds like an amazing time. I’m sorta glad I don’t have much of anything planned this weekend but also wish I had more things like that planned for the summer! Trying to get a few planned but so far no luck.
