External vigilance for the win. I get a yearly screening, and so far, so good, for which with my pale-ass skin, I am very grateful. Good for you for keeping on top of that shit.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Thanks for the birthday greetings! Unfortunately, it is still Passover, so we can't go out to eat. I was amused to find a happy birthday greeting on the white board at work, courtesy of the late shift lab mate.

Aw, that's sweet.

Work had a "spring cookout" today at which I could only eat a hot dog without the bun because Passover and I overheard some Catholic coworkers saying they weren't supposed to have meat on Holy Thursday so not the most inclusive celebration ever.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

The prize of whiteness, Hecubus!

I have a tiny spot under my left eye that's been there for about a year, and I should really go get it checked out.

Bailed on dinner with friends tonight. This whole 5-days/week in the office is fucking draining. Dog is very upset that she isn't getting a hard 45-minute walk when I get home. Sorry, hon.

Instead I drove to Total Wine & More and bought a bottle of good Irish whisky.

I'm planning to fly to London in June for a walking tour with a friend of mine, and I have to admit I'm getting kind of nervous about the return to the US. Will we still have a government by mid-July? Will I get through customs as a California public servant? Will they have my photo from some protest, and pull me aside? WHO KNOWS.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Trump's popularity continues to wane, and the GOP is showing signs that it might find some gumption to oppose him (like not cutting Medicare, for instance). By July it could be anyone's guess.

I am almost surprised that Abrego Garcia is alive and was permitted to meet with his Senator, so that's another good sign.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I really thought he was dead, so I cried a little when I saw the picture of him meeting with his Senator.

I'm about to make a TJs run because I'd rather go on Friday morning than the day before Easter. I just need more coffee to fortify myself first.

I 199% assumed he was dead and that’s why the government didn’t want to produce him.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Samezies. He looks absolutely shattered, but he's alive.

Such a relief to see that picture!

We get today as a holiday, which is nice but weird. I am enjoying just staying in bed with the cat on my legs very much.

Our wings are not tired.

It must be an incredible relief for his family to see him alive, and even more relief for him to know that people are fighting for his rights here. No notion how it will play out, but more hope than previously.

Several days into being sick, and DH is sicker. OMG, he is a terrible patient. He really is sick. Very high fevers, serious lung ick. He is taking all the drugs, but he has zero patience or acceptance that it isn't a quick fix. Being as hyperactive as he is the inability to do much beyond sitting in a chair is making him crazy. (and me)
