I hope the CT scan finds something easily actionable, askye.
While family is lovely, the “besties upstairs and across the parking lot” situation was great for casual socializing. I’m making an effort with book group, church, and eventually the community garden, but there’s nothing like stepping out for your mail and getting caught up in a half hour gossip fest.
Still, it’s a warm, rainy spring day, and Javier is in a lap mood, so the present moment is pretty good.
Well in it never rains it pours .... something has happened to Cheeto's back legs. He was fine at 4 am when I got up to go to the bathroom and he and Scrappy wanted out. I saw him laying down when I was going out the door at 8:40.
So sometimes between that he got injured. So we are calling the vet tomorrow. I'll have to get that in before the CT scan
The drama doesn't end. M messaged me that Cheeto seems to be getting worse. And was able to look at him more and he saw bruises on his abdomen and he seemed to be panting. So we decided he needed to go to the emergency vet .
M was going to take him but it started pouring down rain and M has to use his mom's car .that doesn't have working windshield wipers so ...he turned around .
I was saying this to a coworker who immediately said she would take them to the vet. In fact she almost insisted. So she is going to pick them up and take them and then I'll go when I get off. That means they will get to the vet around 5 instead of around 7.
Well.. Cheeto is too hurt. ... He is t breathing well, he is paralyzed so we are waiting to say goodbye to him
Oh, askye! I am so sorry.
It's just. I didn't realize how bad he was. But in some ways it was good we waited so much coworker could drive him. She waited with him and then us.
But I kind of wish I had realized how bad he was otherwise I would have said not to do that X-rays
But the Urgent Vet gave us a gift of his fur in a vial and they were very nice.
I was afraid that would happen.(I had an elder cat that had a clot or something...it was truly sudden.)
Rotten time to be right.
I'm sorry for your loss.
I've always thought something would happen to him ....
