I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Supposed that cool off tomorrow, Karl.

Thrive to spite them

I'm getting another , different type of ultrasound for my abdomen, different medice for the stomach pains etc and a head CT scan .

I've been feeling very emotional and vulnerable because it taps into my issues if when I had health stuff going on and adults/Drs didn't believe me or take it seriously I told my doctor this and he was very reassuring. I also thanked him for never acting like my weight could be an issue for any kind of treatment or that losing weight would solve my problems .

The Table Rock Fire continues to burn. They are mandatory evacuations now for 55 homes, 7 have been destroyed, it's burned over 3000 acres and is 0% contained.

All because some teenagers were smoking. .

Its been windy and there hasn't been any rain. We saw a Chinook flying today and I was wondering if it was headed for the fire .

Apparently a ton of folks at dancing got Covid last week, so we ended up canceling tonight, lest it spread more. I volunteered to sit outside and let folks know…and then a half hour before it would’ve started, the transformer down the street blew, so we wouldn’t have had power and would’ve had to cancel anyway! Of course now I’m paranoid I’m going to get COVID.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Thank heavens, -t. Yes, tomorrow is supposed to be back to seasonal -- mid to high 60s rather than mid to high 80s. That will be a considerable relief.

A friend of mine is in Portland, Maine this week for work, and she got snow on Monday! I was so jealous.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

A couple I know got Covid at a recent convention -- they've held it off for over 5 years now. There should be some kind of consolation prize for that.

I took a 100yo off to a medical appointment yesterday! She was spicy and funny, and new to our residence, she's not sure she wants to be around old people...

Ha, yes! My mom always felt the same way... except she was sure that she didn't.

Our wings are not tired.

When I was a kid, I loved to spend time with old people. I even asked a neighbor, who was maybe 60 at the time, what it was like to be old. Now that I am by any definition old, I still enjoy spending time with old folks, and young folk, and the middle agers too! As long as they aren't negative or grumpy, got no time for that. Although I am a city girl at my core the thing I most enjoy about my summers in Otter Lake is that all socialization includes the entire range of ages. In a tiny community you can't just hang with people your own age. Little kids run around the local bar, and the elders are drinking beer with the teenagers at their bonfire parties.

Clearly, I don't have the stamina I did at 30, but when I spend time with my younger friends I find we laugh and stress over the same things and have more in common than what separates us.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

To be fair, this is the nicest crew of attorneys I've ever worked for. Of the 8.5 of them only two are a little precious and they're not anywhere close to the dragons I've dealt with in the past. My 2.5 big dogs are phenomenal women who treat everyone with respect.

Good to hear, Trudy. It makes such a huge difference to respect the people you work with.
