You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

A cool thing I hadn't seen before is the on-demand busses.

Oooh, that does sound cool.

I'm flying down to LA this morning, back on Monday.

It's going to be an interesting trip, seeing lots of college friends at the Memorial that i haven't seen in many decades.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm shamefully sore after yoga last night. Yoga is supposed to do the opposite of making you sore! This is a yin yoga class, where poses are held for longer than in a regular yoga class -- like 2-5 minutes at a time. The longer poses are supposed to target the connective tissues in the lower body, not just the muscles. My connective tissues are objecting to such cruel treatment. Sheesh.

Quit being mean to your connective tissues!!

At one point around here they were doing an on-demand bus thing that took you from wherever to a nearby bus stop/light rail/transit center. A last-mile attempt of solution. Not sure what happened tot hat. Probably the pandemic.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My neighborhood is pretty friendly, but I really do need to make more of an effort to actually talk to people. Same thing with Jewish community stuff -- there is a community there, if I actually go to the events and talk to the people.

I got my carpal tunnel surgery (right hand) scheduled, yay! It's at the end of April, which means I can still do the Ladies Night at the Forge blacksmithing class April 11. (Recovery from the surgery is supposed to be fairly easy, but there's a restriction on how much I'm allowed to lift, so blacksmithing stuff might be too heavy.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

They're probably not too keen on the impact of swinging hammers at anvils for the recovery, either.

I fed alley cats late yesterday afternoon and got facefulls of dust-laden wind for about half an hour, which I think is the cause of my stuffy nose and raspy throat issues today. But I'm starting up the Zicam just in case.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Blacksmithing!

Also, both cool and not cool, tons of key deer in the upper islands. Cool because they are so cute, not cool because people are feeding them which causes all kinds of issues. They have plenty of food that is good for them! They walk up to cars which is not cool at all.

Coyotes, especially in Joshua Tree Natl Park, do the same. Easy food and they don't know it's terrible for them. Keep wildlife unhabituated from people is the dream. Or, it's my dream.

I adulted so damn hard today. Executive dysfunction slightly beaten for important tasks. I'm exhausted.

In making the spiciness of my brain work for me for one freaking day, I knew exactly where a couple of documents were for my passport application. I need to write down the technical date of my divorce because I didn't even have the year correct in my head.

Yay! Is it at Beacon Orthopedics? They've done four hand surgeries on me, and I've been really happy with them, except for some weirdness with scheduling.
