Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Ugh. I came back from lunch to an email about “strategic realignment and cost-reduction”, with more details to come. That’s not nerve wracking at all.

Oh dear! Much ~ma

For me being on ADHD meds has drastically reduced the food noise in my head, but when it has worn off in the evening, it comes back with a vengeance.

I wonder if the food noise and the cigarette noise are also ADHD noise? Maybe it is helpful for Askyes's MIL? Or M- in law? My whole family, in retrospect, is just ADHD/AuDHD as shit, and also addicted as shit to things like coffee, cigarettes, and (my health uncle) exercise and healthy eating. I still don't have the formal diagnosis but I am pretty sure that my first grade teacher's assessment just led me to mask like the dickens.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Tep, EM had carpal tunnel surgery on both arms back in the day. The hardest thing we had to deal with was me getting her into pantyhose every morning for work. Very comical. Pure farce.

Anyway, I don't expect that will be an issue for you.

I'm feeling very-of-the-moment because (a) I have my first Pilates class tomorrow; and (b) I just set an appointment for bloodwork on Tuesday to go on Ozempic.

So the project over the next six months is to completely re-do my body so it is leaner and more flexible as I get deeper into my sixties.

But first, I need to go get my eyebrows done today...

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm extra glad I work from home dressed like a hobo! And also that it's only one hand.

I mean... priorities. (I am SO overdue for this particular procedure.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, zippers were unexpectedly hard to deal with until my hand healed enough.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have never smoked but smoking definitely calms adhd symptoms for some people. My addictions are caffeine, pasta, cheese, doomscrolling, and if I let myself go to casinos I’m quite sure I could get addicted to gambling very quickly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, my, back when I smoked I loved that it gave me something to do with my hands (even when not actively smoking a cigarette, fidgeting with one, or a lighter or pack, was more acceptable than many other options) and that it gave me time to not be doing other things. All the things I really should be doing? Can't right now, having a smoke. Especially when I worked in an office with other smokers, it was the only way to get a break. Not to downplay the physical addiction, which was real, withdrawal when I quit was no fun, but the psychological dependence was more obvious from inside my head at the time.

Our wings are not tired.

Ick. I don't like those words at all.

Thrive to spite them

Sophia ...M's family (including M) have all kinds of mental health/ neurodiverisity type stuff. But not really diagnosed. Except his mom does have mental health issues.

Good news! His Mom is home!. She doesn't need an oxygen tank. So we will see how that goes.

Good news, askye.

Yah, I miss smoking, gotta be honest. Not in a "want to start again way," but if there were no reasons not to... insert wistful sigh.

Workshop done. Email not. But I promised DH a gym visit. Email after that.
