Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man, askye, that's a lot for your household!

Unfortunately, I don't think blasting "you must chill" at brain weasels is very effective, but we can always try

I just don't see what that doesn't work.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh dear askye. How stressful when all of you are having health problems.

"Dog is the new Bob" is also making me happy.

I am getting a tabletop convection oven/rotisserie thing for my 25th!! Anniversary at my university. This is supposed to be the one where we get the rocking chair, but I was like WTF am I doing with a rocking chair? I love my Insta-pot from year 20. Apparently at 30 years, there is a steam cleaner.

Punishingly Intricate

So sorry about all the health issues, askye!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Argh, Hil. I’m sorry that’s happening. I hope your school fights it.

Congrats, Sophia!

Wow Hil, that’s dumb and sucky. I’m sorry.

Our wings are not tired.

"Dog is the new Bob" is making me happy

Indeed. (Skinner, whose 7th birthday is tomorrow, also loves carrots)

Good grief, Hil. Any excuse to cut off educational funds. I had such a sheltered upbringing that I didn't know that antisemitism, bigotry, or racism really existed until I was an adult. I saw it in the race riots in the 60s on television, but it was remote and not a part of my world. I never heard my parents or friends demonstrate any bigotry. It wasn't until I moved to Virginia as an adult that I encountered it, and it was shocking. I didn't live anywhere with a significant Jewish population until I lived in Pittsburgh. Although it was horrifying to have the naivety shattered as an adult, I will forever be grateful that my parents didn't raise me to hate others.

That is very cool. Much cooler than a watch. I have become a rocking chair girl. Last summer, I started using a very comfy rocking chair and found that my back was happier. Then, when I came back to Florida, I grabbed an old rocker that was my mom's from my sister's garage and have been using it. It has two benefits: First, it is better for my posture than a soft couch, and I don't have both the dog and cat on top of me. Mostly, it is the slumping preventative aspect that is the most helpful.

Continued heath~ma for askye and loved ones.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

But, somehow, we're in danger of losing funding unless we "solve" our "antisemitism problem."

Mike Lawler has been very vocal about the need to solve the "antisemitism crisis on college campuses" issue too, and among all the horrors this administration has unleashed, hiding behind a shield of "protect the students from antisemitism" so they can pull evil Nazi shit like disappearing Palestinian activists is pretty fucking beyond.
