My trip started out with a delay on the redeye, left about 45 minutes late (and there was wierdness in that they could not scan electric boarding passes because it was after midnight. Very Cinderella). Had a 3 hour layover in Chicago, so it was fine, but I also forgot that Chicago has bupkis for good clubs and American does not automatically admit you to the club if you travel first class. Trash)
Second flight was slightly delayed, but we got on the plane and there was some mechanical issue, so we came back to the gate. They couldn't fix it, so we had to get a new plane. And when we finally got a new plane, we had to drive all over the runways before we actually got to take off. Landed 4 hours late. Ugh.
Home a while back, put forgot to post. There may have been a wee nap in there.
{{{Lisah}}} that’s just too many strong emotions in too short a time for one person.
I’m happier news, Casper led to me to the resting place of his favorite mousie and has spent the last 20 minutes blissfully bringing it to me so that I can throw it for him to fetch. Mewing frantically with each return. These are the adorable times that keep me from tossing him out onto the street whenever he chows down on some clothing.
Erin at first I thought you meant a real mouse and I was prepared to be disturbed.
Hahahahaha, blessedly no, just a wee piece of felt stuffed with batting. It’s the size of one of his paws and he is just unbelievably proud of himself and his hunting prowess.
It's a great journey that I'm enjoying vicariously.
So great! He definitely looked Buffista appropriate at the Memorial.
I'm sorry all the travel to and from SF this weekend was so fucky.
I was ready to pivot after the Memorial from The Past to The Future today but that didn't happen. In fact, I re-read all my FB posts from August and September.
So I sat a little longer with my freshly renewed grief. Which sounds worse than it was. It was really just loving Jacqueline and missing her, which I will always do from time to time. I'm okay with that.
But it was great having dinner with Maria last night and breakfast with Tom this morning.
Oof, {{{Lisah}}}. And hugs and love to David as well. Grief is grief.
It was a tight connection, but now I'm now on the plane from Munich (flight is about to begin). They were not kidding about the security protocols in the entrance to the Israeli section, I barely made it in time and pretty sure that the security person and I are now dating after that pat down.
Well the trains are supposedly running this morning so I should get home today. Hope the last leg of your trip is smooth sailing, Shir!
Landed in Israel (still in the plane). Next stop: home (this will take about an hour and a half or two).
Update: that tight connection? I made it, my suitcases didn't. I'll only get them tomorrow or the day after it.
