Any SFistas willing to go on a mini adventure to 200 Toland St (Toland btwn Hudson and Galvez) and then ship an iphone to PDX? I will, of course, fund all shipping expenses, probably send you a lil treat from the PNW, and take you out for drinks/dinner next time we're in the same zip code.
I can get it for you. It's just past Mission Bay where JZ was working / getting her first chemo.
You can designate me as the pick-up person tomorrow. Just let me know who to talk to when I get there.
Do you have my number? 415-377-0627. I will edit this out later after you have it.
Just watched the YouTube stream today. Despite being there, it was lovely to watch since all my speaker wrangling meant I actually missed a fair amount of what people said. Also, slideshow! David, thank you for getting Lukas to set this up.
It was a precious day and I'm very thankful that so many were able to share it.

Erin, I can probably do this tomorrow. Any Buffistas still in town who want to join me for a walk through Potrero Hill? Among other things, you can see the other crooked street (Vermont). Forewarned is forearmed: it's a long walk and hill is right there in the name!
ETA: Took too long to write that I guess!
Made it to my connection in Atlanta. Ye gods, redeye flights are rough.
Rest for those that need it.
Easy travels for those still in transport.
I made it home with no travel drama yesterday, thank goodness! And I was able to sleep some on both legs of my flight and was asleep before 1 Eastern last night and am up reasonably early today. Early enough for my schedule, anyway.

My mom and stepdad are in Scotland for 2 weeks (once again, my 78-year-old mom is 100% my retirement role model), and when they arrived, she texted to let me know they got there and said "[Stepdad] snored in my ear the whole way to Heathrow and I couldn't sleep. I don't want to start vacation by killing him but I might have to."
I spent so much of my weekend in front of the tv.

My brain wants stories, not work. Hoping to listen to audiobook over lunch to appease brain.
The very tall gangly young man in the seat next to mine in the last leg was asleep the whole flight and slumping way too far into my personal space. Zero stars, would not sit next to again.
Oh, man, sympathies on the red eye in particular and travel in general. I slept in my own bed last night and just had to drag myself as far as the living room to work and I still feel like this is all a bit of an imposition.
I had a wonderful visit with my uncle (hospice) and family yesterday and got to see a close friend in Oakland whose husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last year. He’s doing pretty well all things considered. They got a new puppy and I almost stole her! Took a redeye where I slept beautifully for the first time in my life - thanks to the huge pillow and blanket I bought at the airport AND the weed gummy and melatonin. I was in Economy Plus and realized that when I’m in the front of the plane (biz or first) on my own dime, I’m so intent on taking advantage of every possible nicety that comes with the hefty price tag that I am reluctant to sleep! So I may always just bring a pillow and blanket and do economy plus for redeyes now. Seems backwards but I’ve never slept so well on a plane in my life
I miss all of you very much. I think we should get together again soon and not wait until another of us is gone.
