So ridiculous. I know a trans dude who is 6’ tall with a beard and lots of muscles. Would he really need to be in a women’s dorm? They never think of these things.

I thought I was prepared for the Jillifont as a corporate American, but my face went on a journey of slow dawning horror.
To be honest, that meeting room name is about as bad as a JilliFont.
Looks like some students went the simpler route, and just tore down the "biological men" and "biological women" signs on their dorm bathrooms.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. Go students!

Good for them. Such fucking bullshit.
I am so effing proud of those students that I don't know! Go you (all)!
Good for them!
The sun came out for most of today, in a gloriously blue sky. I felt irrationally joyful for most of the day, in spite of all the everything. I figured I might as well enjoy it, since tamping it down wasn’t going to help anything.
Good news and bad news on the HD basketball front in DH's world today. The good news is that the girls varsity team is going to state. He and many of the boys try and make a practice of going to the girls games to cheer them on. It was a wonderful game tonight. He filmed it to have reel footage for the girls.
The horrible news is that I had to try to find some comforting words as he is not doing well with the latest decrees from TFG. Over 500,000 Haitians will have their work permits revoked and are supposed to be deported by August as their protective status has been revoked. Because obviously, Haiti is a super safe place to return to now. We have a huge Haitian population here. Maybe 75% of his basketball players are Haitian. They work incredibly hard on both their studies and athletics to get scholarships and a chance at a better life. We don't know what is going to happen to them and the feeling of helplessness is overwhelming. They are his children. Other locals not involved with high schools are in a panic about what is going to happen to our healthcare system. A huge percentage of our healthcare workers are Haitian here. It is just such a mess.
eta: I asked Brendon how many of the boys came to the girls' game and he said ALL of them. I am so proud of them supporting their fellow student athletes.
