I look more rad than Lutheranism

Steph, thanks for the info that the shingles vax is good for up to 7 years.

I am sitting in the library wearing a mask from a box I bought on the way here because of Steph's advice

I masked at the movie theater today because of Steph.

Yay! I love my peoples being safe!

In an ironic twist, I feel totally crappy today. I didn't go anywhere this week, so if this is an actual factual illness, I'm going to blame Tim for bringing it home (even though he isn't currently sick). Ugh. Send pho and Reese's cups pls.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm working on putting together my reappointment paperwork, which always stresses me out, but this year even more so than usual.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

DH and I both masked at the DMV the other day. We haven't been anywhere else there were people.

Fast bettering for the sickies, calm and self-care vibes for the skeered and jittery (me too), awakening brains for the slow of uptake folks. I allowed myself a small bite of news this AM and quickly scurried back, mind spinning with alarm and dismay. I teeter on an edge of knowing what's going on and being the blind monkey. I hope Laura's son recovers quickly and Ltc is really over her illness. Lots of love and comfort to all my buffistas. And pho or plain old chicken soup to all of us. Man, I miss our Chinese takeaway. Wonton soup by the quart, so handy when someone was sick or shaky. Need to find a new source.

Also, gorgeous furniture, David!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I saw Sheryl and Gary at Boskone!

But today there was a lot of overnight snow and I've been procrastinating on the shoveling, so it's at-home-Sunday for me.

I finished most of what I need to do for my reappointment paperwork. Still need to clean up some formatting and upload some files, make a list and description of the files I'm including, and (the big one) write my self-evaluation. I've got until tomorrow night to finish, and there's not much else that I need to work on, so I basically have a full day to write my self-evaluation. I hate writing these, so much.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I had a skincare appointment at 10am this morning, so I barely had time to drink coffee and shower before I headed out. My eyebrows look much better and pain levels only reached a middling 3.

But now I've just discovered I lost one of my amethyst stud earrings. I hope they can find it.

Had lunch at Fermentation Lab - dag, I love their fried chicken sliders.

Came home and decided to deal with the mess in the Garden Apartment. Cousin Nicole, our favorite little misfit, had stayed over to tend to the Guinea Pigs. However, she is a little chaos vortex, and not only left dirty dishes in the sink, but left a pot of mac and cheese on the stove to ferment for a week (because she didn't tell me she'd left it). So, fermentation in the pot on the stove, and a ripe mildew flavor on the dishes. No Lutherans though.

Cleaned all that up, stripped the sheets and gathered the towels to launder, came back in and washed my hands in satisfaction and then I remembered. "Hmmm, I should check the fridge."

There was, of course, yet another pot of noodles (unfermented through the power of refrigeration) and several doordash bags and boxes in various states of consumption that I had to clear out.

Anyway, I just need to finish the laundry and put sheets back on the bed to have a clean Garden Apartment.

I'm taking a breather before I tackle my own pile of dirty dishes, and my own laundry pile, and a foray into Picking Up More than Pile Today. Because now I'm in house cleaning mode.

Tomorrow I have two appointments, one in the East Bay. Tuesday morning I take Emmett to the airport early (he's flying to Montana to see EM). Weds is off. Thursday meeting up with our very own Nurse Jen. Friday a friend is coming in from out of town for the weekend, hence the Garden Apartment cleanup.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Husband flew up to be there for the new house inspection. His flight leaving here was late and he missed his connection, so he's holed up in a hotel on the airline's dime. He very wisely built this into the travel time, so he's not too fussed.

I am working on packing the kitchen, and I feel like I might have a cold coming on, which is NOT acceptable right now.

I hope no cold manifests, Dana.

David, has EM moved to Montana? I may have missed a memo. And I stand in awe of your housekeeping, dishwashing and disposing skills of leftover food. Also, I hope they find your earring.

It's been raining all night and day here. It's almost completely washed away last week's snow. I did breakfast dishes and also performed the Waterdance this morning, for the first time since I fell down the back stairs. Waterdance is scalding and scrubbing the waterbottles and caps with brushes and refilling with filtered water and stashing them in the fridge. Sounds piddly, but I'm glad I've regained that much function.

I see the eye surgeon this week to have the cloudy fluid in the capsule that replaced the cataract removed and replaced with clear fluid. Looking forward to clearer vision.

Wow, Cousin Nicole that is chaos indeed.

I am v puzzled because I cannot for the life of me find my bullet journal. I have looked everywhere. I had it a couple days ago. It’s almost certainly in my house. So where the heck is it?
