If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That does sound like an amazing live theatre experience, Brenda!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds wonderful, brenda!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I loved the Tate Modern when I was in London. A very long time ago.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

then probably Tower of London

Politely greet the ravens.

Because books.

brenda! That evening is absolute Goals.

Amy, great to see you! How are you?

I'm okayish. My job is sucking a little less. The dog had a sarcoma removed from her leg, and the cancer hadn't spread anywhere else, Sara turned 21 (?!), Ben got a promotion and continues to be the pillar we all lean on, and my mom is loving the shows I've introduced her to (The Good Place, Man on the Inside, The White Lotus, Only Murders).

I'm just lonely. And trying to be informed and not explode with rage and/or despair simultaneously.

Now tagless for your comfort.

A beefeater flirted with me when I visited the tower. He kept commenting on my violent red hair and when he asked me where I was from, like an idiot, I said, “America.” To which he grinned and asked, “Where?” When I told him Ohio he nodded and said, “Aye, Indians.”

I really wish I was with brenda in London.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I gave myself Brownie Points today for a good suggestion -- Programs at work had one of the presenters cancel, so they were looking for a good documentary to fill the space, so I suggested "Strange Fruit" (about the poem/song/lynching background) one that was on American Experience a few years back, since it seemed On Topic for this month (and year).

It's available for free on Kanopy, which is a free streaming service offered through many libraries.

So it was much appreciated.

Post Toasties: We need a Designated Buffista to be traveling at any given time, so that we can Tour Vicariously With Them.

It does feel like I handed a relay baton to brenda.
