brenda! That evening is absolute Goals.
Amy, great to see you! How are you?
I'm okayish. My job is sucking a little less. The dog had a sarcoma removed from her leg, and the cancer hadn't spread anywhere else, Sara turned 21 (?!), Ben got a promotion and continues to be the pillar we all lean on, and my mom is loving the shows I've introduced her to (The Good Place, Man on the Inside, The White Lotus, Only Murders).
I'm just lonely. And trying to be informed and not explode with rage and/or despair simultaneously.
A beefeater flirted with me when I visited the tower. He kept commenting on my violent red hair and when he asked me where I was from, like an idiot, I said, “America.” To which he grinned and asked, “Where?” When I told him Ohio he nodded and said, “Aye, Indians.”
I really wish I was with brenda in London.
I gave myself Brownie Points today for a good suggestion -- Programs at work had one of the presenters cancel, so they were looking for a good documentary to fill the space, so I suggested "Strange Fruit" (about the poem/song/lynching background) one that was on American Experience a few years back, since it seemed On Topic for this month (and year).
It's available for free on Kanopy, which is a free streaming service offered through many libraries.

It does feel like I handed a relay baton to brenda.
There is an investigator on Bluesky that ids the chuds from Cincinnati (the group is Hate Club). Same group that walked down High Street in Columbus back in November.
It just occurred to me that if this new Buffy show actually airs, we can do a Watch and Post.
Maybe Jeff Mejia will come back.
Last day in London and I am finally sitting down for a fish and chips and a pint in an old Thames-side pub. (Coincidentally called The Old Thameside Pub.)
It is pleasantly drizzly after a rain-free week and I’ve been traipsing all around Bankside, Borough Market, and up and down a million stairs at the Tower. Pictures will follow at some point.
My boss and I discovered that we are both introverts who are extroverts for work, So we happily agreed that we would each do our own thing today and possibly circle back for an after dinner drink.
