What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

PMM, may I have permission to tag this, with attribution?

Yep!

We're hanging out in the airport, waiting for our flight to start boarding. We also were betrayed by the BART schedule, but were able to get a cab directly to said airport before the barrier went up.

Punishingly Intricate

I’m on the train to the Oakland Airport after stopping at one of my classic SF faves for breakfast, Sears Fine Foods. What a lovely day and night yesterday was. So good to see everyone I hadn’t seen in years and see so many I’ve never met in person for the first time.

Swedish pancakes

I came down the escalator as my train was pulling up. Magic!

Our wings are not tired.

The efforts by David, Matilda, Juliana, Sylvie, and who knows how many others brought together an incredible event. It was just perfect in every way.

Plei is your flight at 1015? Or are you already in the air?

Bummer others also got caught in the trap of assuming Bart would run normally. Boo. But sounds like it worked out mostly ok.

I really needed yesterday. I could use a few more days like that, actually. With time to really talk to everyone (without jet lag and cold!). I ended up with a partial Irish goodbye because I just got a little too overwhelmed trying to leave the bar. Apologies to anyone I didn’t properly hug goodbye.

The memorial was perfect. I kept thinking about how literary and grand the stage was, and how the background looked like the Forest of Arden or the gold embossed cover of a child’s book from the 40’s. Lily and Matilda and Matilda’s dear friend Mia were the highlight speakers for me - all beautifully self-possessed, vulnerable young women who will make their stamp on this world, no doubt. And David, David. How I loved hearing your origin story! I came onto the Buffy scene about 4 months before Matilda was born. So you and Jacqueline were already a concrete couple by then. I love you and Matilda so much and I’ll be back to just hang with you two soon.

1986, and we're on the plane but still on the ground.

Ah, you’re stuck on the ground, I’m stuck wandering gate to gate as they delay my flight (fingers crossed it’s just the 30 min they’re currently saying, we are on our third gate)
