If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This would all be helped if I could get frickin' eggs which were a big protein source when I lost weight before.

Wait, that’s a real thing? I last bought eggs in early January and got two dozen organic for like $7.50 at Costco. Maybe it’s a Midwest thing? I’ve been assuming it was all kind of over blown the way all the crying over milk prices a couple of years was.

Also, would somebody please come by my house with hot sweet potatoes? Like sometime next week would be ideal.

Our wings are not tired.

I haven't had any issue getting eggs. Might be regional.

I called my local rep. They answered the phone and discussed stuff. Said to call often and that they log the calls.

Punishingly Intricate

That’s great, Laura!

I think the scarcity of eggs on the west coast has to do with bird flu (also no problem to buy here).

Coding and Sleeping

Eggs here are $5.80 a dozen last I saw. It does seem there are fewer on the shelves than usual, but I don't know if that's supply or demand.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I think I paid $3.50 a few days ago at Trader Joe's.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I haven't tried to buy eggs, can neither confirm nor deny actual scarcity. I heard Waffle House was adding an egg surcharge, but I don't have one of those to visit and see for myself either.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Wait, that’s a real thing?

The entire egg case at Whole Foods was empty. I've seen TJ's egg case similarly depleted.

But I was able to get some locally grown, more expensive eggs at my green grocer.

I timed my walk to avoid the heavy rains due at 2pm. Unfortunately I was busy talking to my friend Jude at Borderland Books about my Japan trip and she was too enthusiastic a listener, so we were both standing there chatting when the torrential rains arrived.

I solved this problem by just staying for another half hour and showing her more otter videos.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

TJs was eggless yesterday. Egg limits on purchases are also often in effect around here. The bird flu's done a number on it all.

Locally grown expensive eggs are the bomb. Delicious. But when I hear people complaining about the price of eggs I have no idea what they are expecting the price to be, because I have laid-by-the-hens-that-run-away-from-your-car-as-you-drive-onto-the-farm-to-collect-your-egg-subscription prices in my head

Work has a "town hall" tomorrow and I do not know what to expect. Something about tariffs, presumably, since I am told goods received today are hit, but vaguely hoping that we will have slightly more direction than "not business as usual". I am heartened, I guess, that our DEI page is still up and seems unchanged. Huh, and looking at it now the calendar of holidays, etc, says Ash Wednesday is next Friday. Somebody did not proofread effectively.
