flea, fingers crossed that you DH's meeting was nbd.
Even the last time, I didn't feel this personally attacked. Like, people LIKE our agency! We do good work! And yet we now have someone in charge who wants me, personally, to go away, and all my team too. Doesn't care if hazardous waste contaminates the Bay or the salmon fishery is destroyed. Doesn't care if historic houses fall into ruin, or children are exposed to lead paint. Some of them actively want me to be miserable and upset so that I will quit.
It's really unsettling, and yet leadership expects us to just... keep doing the job. It's hard. I don't think the uniformed personnel get it, they're not under threat the same way (except for the trans members, anyway).
lisah, I continue to be surprised that I can be surprised.
That anyone is willing to distribute notices with such unprofessional and partisan language, within the agency. I'd forgotten what it was like.
Funny thing: I was coming up on my three-year cycle to retake the agency Civil Rights training. I wonder if it will be cancelled. Probably, because the folks who give it will be suspended.
Christ, these people are assholes.
Safety-ma for your people, ND!
Yeah, he could have just said, in accordance with presidential order we are taking steps to close DEi offices. Contact X for more information.
But no. And the soliciting people to snitch!!! Jesus
Wow lisah that is shitty.
Brenda that is ALSO shitty. Damn.
Safety-ma for your people, ND!
Have heard back that all of the folks that were up at our warehouse are safely away.
Mr fleas meeting resulted in nothing for now. He is trying to get officially attached to the office in Narragansett, which is a lot closer to us than Ohio but still a hell of a commute.
Mr flea feels like you, Connie. People feel various things about the EPA but his work is basically “let’s have safe drinking water and keep sewage out of rivers and the ocean.” It’s one of the less controversial messages.
Karl, thank you for thinking of us. We're fine; it's not our school or neighborhood. It's the second school shooting in Nashville in under two years, though, so hard to really feel, you know, OK with it all.
Wow, lisah!
Glad your folks are out, ND, and that you are ok, Kate
