Mr flea, who works remotely for the federal government, has a meeting request from his branch chief for today. Such fun times we live in.

I feel like Elon was trolling with that Nazi salute. I think he did it so he could complain about libs calling it a Nazi salute. He's way too high functioning to not know what he's doing.

Really cool that Matilda is going to get to have that experience in Japan and cool that you are going there for a bit too, Hec.

Sorry Consuela, that really sucks.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

We have degrees! For the first time in about three days, we are in the plus column.

I’ve spent those days meticulously tracking, where all the drafts are coming from in here and the answer is everywhere. But I re-taped the plastic on the glass (and also the pin prick shotgun holes in the picture window) so it’s better. I replaced the doors earlier this season so that helps too.

For once, I’m glad I don’t have a water bill since the taps have been running for three days straight.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We're all packed up (except the computer bag) and ready to go!

Everything [knock wood] seems to be in order.

dcp, we're flying out on Japan Airlines at 12:55pm PST, JL1. Headed to Haneda Airport in Tokyo.

Emmett's driving us and Matilda's beau is also seeing us off.

I was able to secure our seats and boarding pass last night, so we just need to check in Matilda's oversize bag and pick up the money I reserved at the currency exchange.

Our furnace had some issues just in time for the subzero plunge, but fortunately the house didn't lose heat very quickly and we never got really cold.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

So excited for you and Matilda!

Enjoy, Hec!!

Brenda why do you not have a water bill?

It is cold here too but only just below freezing (which is still cold for her but not for other places)—it’s been weird to see frost on the grass!

It's 12 degrees here and I have to go to therapy at 1. I will be wearing many many layers. I'm probably going to look like a pile of laundry.
