Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Yaaaay!!! Hooray for Benign Boobs!!!

With the amount of international meetings I have to do at times I'm just happy when we can make them somewhat close to normal business hours here.

Yeah, we have a quarterly meeting/webcast with the CEO that's scheduled for 5:00 or 5:30 every time. She's only on the east coast, but apparently they REALLY want to accommodate the global workforce. Thankfully, it's always recorded as well, so we're not REQUIRED to attend at that hour.

Our wings are not tired

When I'm consulting or working on Orlando projects I often have 4am meetings. They like to have a 7am meeting before the construction site gets fully active. Those are never fun.

And you're important enough to your business that you can't take it on a delay like I can. No fun indeed.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

yAY benign!

I wrapped up some gifts I am sending to my niblings. Gotta get their SSNs for my retirement accounts, and to do some estate planning. Met with a contractor about getting my hot water heater replaced: he leaned hard on getting a tankless but staying with gas, because otherwise I would have to redo my electrical board.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Benign, hooray!

Anyone else feeling surprised to be so absolutely fucking pissed off about an ERA ratification announcement? I (a) did not expect such an announcement to ever happen and (b) definitely did not expect to be so mad about it (because it's like...not real, has no actual legal consequences, and will 100% be ignored by the new guy as of Monday fucking afternoon.)

Wanderlog is great!!

Yay benign!

At some point I need to replace my water heater, but it seems like something I should get multiple quotes for or something and that feels like effort. And probably it’ll break and I’ll have to do it emergency style and pay way too much. And yet.

ND, 4am meetings are heinous!! I’d be like “how bout you call me your end of day and we plan for tomorrow” because anything I told them at 4am might not be true because I’d only be a tiny bit awake.
