Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Where do you come from? Where do you go? What is your scene, baby? We just gotta know.

Boop.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm boopless.

It's a blue sky (on theme!) morning in San Francisco, so neither on fire nor snowpocalypse.

You should all come by.

Oof, seeing a long list of actors who lost their homes:

Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Anna Faris and Cary Elwes, Adam Brody, Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, James Woods, Maria Bamford, Ricki Lake.

Watching the speakers at Jimmy Carter's funeral. Quite a human. Understatement.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

My MIL on the phone just explained that the LA mayor took money from the fire department to give to the homeless. I, fortunately, had already taken klonopin this morning, so I was able to hiss at my husband about it not being true rather than grabbing the phone and screaming at her.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Discord is awful. I used to use it often (so often), but it's really not designed for the things people are using it for in a vain effort to find a suitable replacement for FB. Also, I am on work Slack all the damn time, so Discord is not a relaxing way to spend my time. Plus, it's a fucking drama factory.

I didn't realize how close my brother and his partner are to the fires, and now I'm stressing.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's been a weird week at work. Monday and Tuesday we were officially closed, but I'm an essential worker so I went in both days. Monday I managed to get in 20-30 minutes later than normal in spite of having dug out my car and the fact of the crappy roads. There were only two of us the whole morning. We got sent home around 1:15. Tuesday I had a doctor's appointment at 10 (moved from 8) and got in around 10:30. Stayed the rest of the day.

Yesterday was a normal day and today we are closed.

Brother says it's very, very unlikely that the fire would reach their house, but they've moved to a hotel anyway because of smoke.
