Yeah, the photos from LA are scary. I texted an old friend who lives in Topanga canyon and she said they got evacuated this morning. At least they were able to get the cat as well.

I've seen updates from various LA Buffistas on Fbook, but the situation can change at any time if a new fire starts.
In much-lesser Me news: I picked up my used 2020 Subaru Crosstrek on Monday night, and have driven it to work and back. Was so tired and stressed that I haven't wanted to drive it anywhere else, even if I need groceries. Just the thought of walking any distance in 20F with 20mph winds (like from a parking lot) is Too Much.

Wildfire season continues to get more and more frightening every year. I know all of our LA-istas have evac plans, but I hope none of you have to use them.
My 2017 Subaru doesn't have a heated steering wheel! I feel cheated! (If only the driver who hit our old Subaru head-on and totaled it had waited three years...)

I’m doing a bad job at my job today, but can’t seem to really care. The need to close ranks and gather friends is STRONG right now. Would that I had a sprawling estate, I would invite everyone for extended visits.
