Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Scans of my bones look much better than they feel! Age ranking at 111%-137% of bones my age, so better than most.

Hooray, excellent bone health!

Bone Superiority!

I wanted something homey and delicious for dinner, but I had to clean up the kitchen so I didn't want to make a production out of it.

So I rooted around in my crisper drawer and found the four Yukon Gold potatoes left from Thanksgiving, and diced them up and roasted them under the broiler. I'd just been to Oaktown Spice so I was restocked with my favorites plus they had a new Greek Seasoning blend and dried Chives so I went to town on the spuds, doing all the seasoning right in the small roasting pan.

Threw those under the broiler while I did dishes, managing to not burn anything since I stayed in the same room. (The broiler in our house is about four inches from the pan, whereas at the apartment it was further away, so I've had to adjust my timing and have learned to use a timer when I'm not hovering over the oven.)

Then, because (a) cooking for one is a drag (mainly because of all the cleanup) and (b) Trader Joe's provides me with quick proteins, I used their Sous Vide Chicken Thighs. Just heated those up in a small frying pan, with lashings of my new seasonings and it was great.

Juicy flavorful chicken with scrumptious roasted potatoes. A perfect winter meal, and pretty easy clean-up.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I adulted -- got my eyes checked. The left one continues to be far-sighted, the other one near-sighted.

Garage still hadn't gotten to my car. I thought those guys were good, if the car actually ran I'd move it somewhere else.

Our wings are not tired.

I've had to adjust my timing and have learned to use a timer when I'm not hovering over the oven.

Life has taught me that I have to use a timer always even when I am in the kitchen. So tragic when I don't. The roasted spuds sound yummy.

I air fried a whole cauliflower head and was disappointed in the results. It wasn't as tender as I liked, almost seemed dry, and the spices weren't as well distributed as when I roost the pieces. Final result was saved with remoulade sauce and sprinkled with cheese. Wildfork had my bestest favorite fish available, which is often hard to find. (orange roughy) Sauteed in butter (timed!) with orange zest (because orange!), and a little basil. It was so yummy. I'll have to go back and grab another bag or two since I don't see it often.

Randomly, while I am thinking of Wildfork, I was chitchatting with the regular check out person and mentioned that I didn't understand why I could get delivery, but not pickup. She said it was the same thing for her zip code and wrote a zip code that would work! They only do delivery within some range so you have to pretend to live further out. Yay! The store is in a very busy stretch and the next few months driving is annoying. (although I get to listen to a lot of my book)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yesterday I got my new permanent crown, so I am one step closer to being fully bionic! The new model already feels quite natural compared to the temporary, so normal eating may now resume.

I decided on a whim to employ my last couple of use-it-or-lose-it vacation days for a quick trip to Nashville to see Will Burkart do a stand-up show Wednesday night. [link]

I'm guessing that's too short notice to meet up with any local Buffistas, but thought I'd mention it just in case.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Age ranking at 111%-137% of bones my age

I've read the Locked Tomb series too recently to not read this as "I have 37% more bones than most people my age" which sounds creepy, but impressive!

They might not all be *her* bones.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

They might not all be *her* bones.

They are now.

Hey, COMMing from my phone wasn't that hard at all. Cool. (I snorted.)
