That's where I discovered "It Happened On Fifth Avenue" which is now a regular part of our xmas rotation.
IHOFA is the best. The best.
I'm still getting the hang of Bluesky and the feeds and I'm not there quite as much as Twitter, but now that they finally allow you to upload GIFs (which is about 50% of how I communicate on Twitter) I will probably be there more often. Plus, I think the person that runs the daily film challenge I do on Twitter is going to move it to BS in January. That is really what gets me to Twitter each day. My handle is pretty much the same as everywhere but here.
It occurs to me as a type this that someone (and by someone I mean someone more tech-inclined than myself) could create a Buffista feed at Bluesky. Or at least a Buffista starter pack. I could probably figure out the latter if people are interested. (Starter packs basically allow you to follow a bunch of people in one fell swoop, or go through and pick and choose follows as you like, but it collects people in one place.)
...someone...could create a Buffista feed at Bluesky.

Awesome sauce. Found it and reposted.
Buffista-ed my Bluesky profile!

Thanks, Theo! That's super helpful and fun to see us all clustered together there.f
I am really liking it over there. I hope some of my holdouts on Twitter migrate to Bluesky.
EM came over this morning and we did needful paperwork. This included paying property taxes online, and I have to tell you it's weird selecting the payment and it goes in a Cart like I'm ordering something off Etsy. Then it's also very weird to push a button and pay $16,000. Sheesh.
Then Emmett joined us and we moved furniture around in advance of the tree. Then we dragged Matilda out of bed and we went and got the tree.
The whole tree-carrying-home-from-Cole-Hardware tradition has been intact since Emmett was in a stroller. So yay for Holiday continuity.

That makes me happy. The kids put up our big tree and out little tree while they were home for Thanksgiving so it looks pretty festive.
We made an overnight run into Michigan this week(IYKYK) and the cat is still pissed off at us. She’s become more cuddly and needy since it got cold outside.
I’m following a bunch of city planning types, starting to explore book accounts, and very quietly following BlackSky. I’m trying to de-emphasize pundits and politics folks (who are easily seen in the Discover or Popular with Friends tabs so the following tab will hopefully be a little more conversational over time. I also somehow pinned a Noticias do Momento feed, which despite the name is a lot of mostly English language but not all American news outfits.
Plus a strong vein of clowning-on-Aaron-Rodgers accounts and other sportsball topics.
I'm @pixkris over on Bluesky. Also, hi. My neck/back is out again, so I'm currently lying in bed hoping the ibuprofen and muscle relaxers do some magic. I took a half day today and went to the chiropractor and Thai massage place, which helped a bit, but I'm definitely still hurting.
Ouch, Kristin. May it all combine to make you feel much better soon.
Thanks for the Buffista thing, Theo! That makes finding people easy. Nice.
I never twittered, so am not blue skying but if I feel the urge glad to know y’all are there!
