I was at a Thanksgiving with 10 adults and 4 children under the age of 3. Shockingly we all managed to crowd around the same table. The food was ok, my favorite thing was the bourbon chocolate pecan pie. Yum.

And I just had leftovers (including pie!) for breakfast. Yum.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Bourbon chocolate pecan pie sounds divine!

I hope y’all don’t have Covid, Laura.

Calli, welcome back to the Midwest.

Oliver is hosting friendsgiving for his crew at our house. Temderloin, left over ham, mac&cheese, and, of course, pie.

Happy post thanksgiving. Hope the pants remain stretchy.

Thanks, Cash. In less fun news, Leifur hasn’t been eating for the last day or so. Probably moving stress. He did eat for the first couple of days here, so I’m not terribly worried, but he’s old and doesn’t need to lose more weight. If familiar furniture and whatnot don’t help, he’s going to the emergency vet tomorrow.

Our wings are not tired.

Negtive for Covid and Flu. Alas, he has strep. But he has drugs now and is snoring.

That sounds quite delightful.

Kitty~ma for Leifur. Cats aren't keen on moving.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Had waay too much food yesterday. The luncheon served heaping plates of food(turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, Mac-n-cheese and green beans.) plus dessert. As usual, Gary's mom made a large amount of food for just three of us. (turkey and gravy, mashed sweet potatoes, stuffing and cranberry jello mold. Dessert was apple turnovers)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I am eating a sandwich full of Thanksgiving leftovers and the cat is trying to figure out how he can get in on some turkey action.

Thanksgiving lunch was just my mother and me at my place. I defrosted some cornbread dressing and heated it along with pulled chicken, while Mom brought broccoli cheese casserole and roasted veggies.

Our big family get-together is for lunch tomorrow. The apple pie I was baking for it slid off the pizza stone and landed face-down on my kitchen floor, so instead of dessert I have unusually expensive kitchen fragrance with a lot of mess to clean up. On the bright side, I neither burned myself nor had to deal with broken pyrex—the pie plate is fine.

Pie tragedy!

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Pie tragedy where you escape mostly unscathed is the least tragic kind. In other news, Iowa beat Nebraska by 3 at the literal last second,(Technically I could cheer for either side since Dad was born in Nebraska, but since he and Mom both went to U of Iowa, go Hawkeyes!)

Longhorns and Aggies tomorrow, while I'm driving home no less!
