"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What should be on top of that list is my health, and I haven't done my PT or any exercise since I left NY. And the diet has been on 2 days, off 1, or a really shitty maintenance plan instead of losing the damn weight so you can walk normal plan.

If it's any consolation, this inspired me to get up and go running for only the second time this week, and when I got back I dug out the sink, did the dishes and wiped down the counters and took out the trash.

Which is pretty good because I was in a total unproductive funk yesterday.

So feel free (or not) to accept my encouraging nudge to go move your body tomorrow.

I will shower any and all with praise who manage to get their bodies moving, taking some steps or just getting some fresh air.

I have paid for Matilda's Semester Abroad in Kyoto and that's getting real. She has to take a quiz to see how much of the Japanese alphabet she can identify. (Answer: zero. But that's okay, you can come in as a complete beginner on this program.)

If your measurements are going down the scale doesn’t matter! I fear that the scale is going down (a bit—I had regained about 15 pounds after ending the study, and now that I’m on zepbound have lost about 5) but that it may be muscle loss and my measurements aren’t changing. Tbd. I am meeting a friend this afternoon to check out a possible new gym and possible new workout buddy. That would be v motivating for both of us. I’ve only been really working out once a week, which is not nearly enough.

Brenda yay the good news but boo the bad news. Yikes.

I am going down to SF and staying with a friend (and working) most of Thanksgiving week. Hope it’ll be a good time—I tend to like to know a plan and she tends to forget to tell me she has a plan. But we are going to some friends of hers for the actual meal, I guess. Then onward to Palm Springs, though it’ll be v different than planned. Tbd if my friend will be there at all, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some of her friends who were coming cancel. But the sunshine will be nice.

Laura, glad your brother is doing ok. Sounds like you’ve got some good options for turkey!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

how much of the Japanese alphabet

Isn't there more than one?

Our wings are not tired.

Feeling the nudge. I need to get a workout buddy. We have a nice gym in the building so it should be easy. Most of the reason I went daily in NY was that my sister went with me.

Always Anti-fascist!

Joining Karl on the grease-for-lunch bench.(Maybe it's a short bench; we can sit close) But I won't say what I had. No need to incite disgust. Or envy.
