You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

I drove out into farmlands surrounding the city last night in the hope of catching the aurora, but no such luck. Oh well, wasn't a high priority life goal.

I did manage to remember to wear a mask while mowing today. So far no sinus pain afterward like I had last time, so I'm going to keep doing it.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Coming in late - the job’s in NC right? Whoo-hoo!

Yes, NC. Right back where I started from.

I have drafted my resignation letter. Now if only I had a working printer. May just tell them verbally and then send an email.

Just landed NOLA. Man I hope I sleep well tonight, it has been a super rough week for pain and sleep.

Very excited for you smonster! Also hugs to the several of us where this is the first Mother’s Day without ours.

I’m about to go drive over and see a friend and her toddler for dinner. Tbd if I will also later meet a different friend for another attempt at viewing aurora.

Oof yes.

My neighbor who drives for Uber picked me up at the airport and wouldn’t let me pay him. I will miss this little compound of total weirdos. I’ve lived here about seven years minus the nine months I had to wait for jerkface to move out.

I hate that I am now scrutinizing any aurora picture that wasn’t taken by someone I know for AI.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Well, this was a cruddy Mothers' Day for me. As is typical for a Sunday, Mr. S woke us up too early. The only thing we did to celebrate was take Gary's mom out to dinner. Mr. S was ok through most of it(other than eating too much and being upset when we tried to keep him from doing so), then had a meltdown when we got to the car, including hitting me. Sigh...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Are y’all talking about UK Ghosts or the American version? I watched a season or two of UK but haven’t checked out the remake.

Personally, I was addicted by the US and am now watching the UK. It is also delightful. I think I have a good bit of "preferring what I saw first" bias, but I find the US ghosts more endearing and the UK ghosts more annoying.

Punishingly Intricate

The UK Ghosts are generally more annoying but they have their sweet moments.

Coding and Sleeping

Well, this was a cruddy Mothers' Day for me.
Ugh, sorry.

Sunday was pretty awful for me overall. Didn't have any plans because we were supposed to be traveling, but we came home early so we ended up home instead. I actually got my wife a bouquet for Mother's day Friday since I figured we wouldn't be home Sunday. I did manage to get the trailer out and get 8 bags of dirt and 38 bags of mulch and get it all spread out. Also hung some mini-blinds. Could have got more done, but I had a breakdown that wasted a couple of hours.

Thrive to spite them

I have skipped. I do know smonster got a job YAY!!

I did skip because the retirement talk was giving me anxiety .

I seem to be crawling out of the funk I've been in. At least some. I got a weekly vitamin D prescription I started last week. I'm changing from generic Vyvanse to generic Straterra...which has been..a thing. Not as bad as I thought but I keep having Ideas! And feeling impulsive and fighting to stay on track at work. And I cannot stop running my mouth.

E is coming for a long weekend this weekend. I'll be at Mom's Fri and Sat but I am going to make time for JZ's memorial.

Also made an appointment with a dermatologist tomorrow. So fingers crossed the weird spot on my face and the discoloration aren't cancer.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

smonster, yay for job!

Ugh, buffistas who are having a hard time, I'm sorry. Hope for better and easier days for you. Also medical~ma for those who need or want it.

I'm sorry for not updating for a while. I've had really great - and really busy - time until now, and I'm typing this from Seattle airport, soon to be on my way to SF. I'm so grateful and happy for everyone I got to meet so far of will meet. I also officially miss home (yes, despite everything), and looking forward to stop traveling after next week and stop having to repack the damn suitcases every two to three days.

I really needed the break from work and war and happy that I'm having this vacation. To get to grok some things from afar and with perspective was super needed as well. And I'm feeling so very lucky for knowing everyone I'm meeting or stayed with here. Thank you for that, so much.

Next stop: SF. See you there! I'll be working on the 15th and 16th and hanging out with Hec on the 14th, but let me know if you'd like to meet!
