Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Thrive to spite them

So Zackary Levi (Chuck from the show Chuck, Shazam) has endorsed Trump. Well he was really behind RFK, Jr and now he is all about Trump and Tulsi Gabbard. He said about Trump "And he’s gonna get us there because he’s gonna have the backing and the support and the wisdom and the knowledge and the fight that exists in Robert Kennedy Jr. and former representative Tulsi Gabbard.”"

I don't think wise and knowledgeable are really adjectives used to describe those two...

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Noooooo, Matilda!!

Shir, thank you for checking in, I've been thinking about you and Nilly.

Re the VP debate - if it comes out 5 years from now that JD Vance is a serial killer with a freezer full of trophy ears or something, I won't be even a little bit surprised. He is fucking TERRIFYING.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

It creeps me out that he has a house in Cincinnati, about 6 miles away from us. GTFO, man.

Our wings are not tired.

It is more than freaky that so many Ohioans voted this guy into office. He is creepy. I have family visiting so I didn't watch, but the Borowitz report seemed right on. [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The fuckery continues.

Back when I was doing the application for the Matilda's Japan program in August I called the Teen Clinic to set up a physical for Matilda.

They said, "She's already had her annual physical for the year in January." Indicating they wouldn't give her another one.

So I said, can I download that physical from MyChart and they said they'd send me what I needed.

They did not send me what I needed.

The very last element I need to finalize her Japan application (which has a hard deadline of this Friday) is to finish that medical release form.

So I drove to the Teen Clinic and dropped it off for them to finish it using her existing physical on record. I then started to drive home and they called me to say that I was the one who needed to fill out her medical history.

So I drove back and did that and indicated I must have it signed off today. They said they would sign it and return it via MyChart.

This morning they called and they need Matilda to come in so they can weigh her etc. You know - the physical I asked for in August.

So now I have to drag my sick girl off to the clinic and hope there isn't any snag in this process because now she has Mono. (Mono is only contagious by spit, so she's not infectious to people there if unless they drink from her water bottle.)

And I'm just stressed now that this isn't going to be completed today because of reasons.

Because everything is maximum thwarted in all directions. And her entire year is getting fucked with.

David, there is a swirling vortex of chaos following you around. I hope everything gets straightened out easily so Matilda can go back to snoozing and you can fucking relax. Dang.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thank you so m uch for checking in Shir! Always a relief to see yoru pixels

And thank you for the Toddson updates, beekaytee. I wish I had helpful resources.

Gah on the mono and the PITA medical records business, Hec. I hope the great European adventure is only delayed?

I feel super lurky and probably will continue to be until maybe Thanksgiving. Work has become a lot - not bad per se, just intense. Reading when I can and thinking of y'all a lot, though!

Mono lasts four to six weeks. And we can't begin planning it until we know she's healthy. And by then you're into Thanksgiving. Plus Hannah's already set up her work schedule around this and it's not easily transferrable, and her daughter's college term doesn't align with it either.

So, there may be a European trip but it probably won't happen until after she goes to Japan.

Presuming we can get this form signed and she can go to Japan.
