So exciting, Dana! Richmond, right?
Steph, I hope you've gotten some relief.
I just made a tasty smoothie; that's all the excitement up in here.

I'm thinking Todd has something to say.
Yep, Richmond.
Thanks for the birthday wishes! Wow, Tep, you picked up a bad one. feel better fast. During college, I finally stopped doing mom's warrior-woman, show-up sick thing. (Although I still got surprised a time or two, the dining hall was a menace. Good to remember if I get too nostalgic.)
Happy birthday, erikaj!
Good luck with the move, Dana!

Quiet day! My day started with the gym like every day, then my sister and I decided to break with habit and stopped at the market and got awesome breakfast sandwiches. My sister only eats once daily so breakfast isn't her thing. Then the NYT had an article with their 50 most popular recipes over the 10 years of the cooking section so I downloaded a bunch.
Watching the leaves float to the ground outside my windows and listening to the ongoing construction here. I might have kitchen cabinets before Brendon goes back to Florida. He's been putting in 12-hour days on it. My other construction dudes have been putting up walls and pocket doors in the bedrooms this week. It is a noisy house. It's an incredible renovation, but it has at least one more summer to go before it is done.

I saw the picture you posted on Facebook, of the red leaves on the red car -- pretty leaves! The leaves aren't changing here yet, so I have to live vicariously through pictures. The aspens were just starting to turn color when I was in Colorado, at least up in Breckenridge. Down in Denver they weren't turning yet.
My throat still hurts, but less than yesterday. I'm still sticking to soft food and popsicles. Our wedding anniversary is Saturday, and I'd like to be able to eat sushi to celebrate. (Sushi should be soft enough, but I feel like wasabi will be nothing but pain on my throat.)
