Quiet day! My day started with the gym like every day, then my sister and I decided to break with habit and stopped at the market and got awesome breakfast sandwiches. My sister only eats once daily so breakfast isn't her thing. Then the NYT had an article with their 50 most popular recipes over the 10 years of the cooking section so I downloaded a bunch.
Watching the leaves float to the ground outside my windows and listening to the ongoing construction here. I might have kitchen cabinets before Brendon goes back to Florida. He's been putting in 12-hour days on it. My other construction dudes have been putting up walls and pocket doors in the bedrooms this week. It is a noisy house. It's an incredible renovation, but it has at least one more summer to go before it is done.

I saw the picture you posted on Facebook, of the red leaves on the red car -- pretty leaves! The leaves aren't changing here yet, so I have to live vicariously through pictures. The aspens were just starting to turn color when I was in Colorado, at least up in Breckenridge. Down in Denver they weren't turning yet.
My throat still hurts, but less than yesterday. I'm still sticking to soft food and popsicles. Our wedding anniversary is Saturday, and I'd like to be able to eat sushi to celebrate. (Sushi should be soft enough, but I feel like wasabi will be nothing but pain on my throat.)
Happy Birthday, erika!
Yay, Dana!
I hope you keep feeling better, Tep.
Guys. The condo closes tomorrow morning. I won't believe it until the paperwork is official, but...I think it's finally happening. I can't tell you what I relief that will be. I have a feeling I may cry a bit. Aside from dealing with his taxes next year, this is the last piece of Dad's estate I need to wrap up.
Finally, Pix. It will be such a weight off your shoulders!
Tep, I'd advise against wasabi. But I hope you have lots of delicious sushi.
K, I am so relieved the condo closes tomorrow. I will be nervous with you until it is Done Done.

Phew! What a relief for you!
We're packing up our hotel and heading to the airport to return to SF.
Matilda's passport has arrived! So we'll pick that up on the way home.
Good trip, enjoyed the hotel. Both college tours were excellent and interesting. Fun to see my friend Rio. Fun, but also very emotional seeing my friend Josh, who has just entered hospice. He has months instead of weeks but tears were shed at the goodbye.
