I feel the same way about my high school reunions. Not many people participate, and the ones that do I don't have any strong feelings about.
Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
The fact that the reunion is happening does make me want to re-watch Grosse Pointe Blank, though.
Looking at linoleum makes me want to watch GPB. I wrote a pandemic-update fanfic of it...it took years, but people have caught up with me about it.(Much like almost everything about me since high school, actually. )
Wow found out my cousin (who’s only 40 and has 3 small kids!) had a stroke on the golf course! Apparently he was in the icu but they just moved him to less critical. So scary. He’s a pilot so this might kill his career, too. Yikes.
That is worrisome. Recovery~ma to your cousin, meara.
Speaking of slutty veg (because why wouldn’t we), I understand the cucurbits (squash family) will cross pollinate like whoa. Which is probably ok when your butternuts mix with your acorn squash, but when they get it on with melons, things can get weird.
Is there any connection between turnips and catnip?

Hah! Good one! 😀
Yikes, recovery~ma for your cousin, meara. Scary stuff.
I tested negative this morning! I might have pneumonia or just chest soreness from the abuse of the last few days. But, I may have dreamed some of the symptoms. I'm going to see how the day goes.
Glad you tested negative, Laura! And I hope it's just chest soreness and not pneumonia.
It's football season and already the Bengals are breaking my heart. (My brother's comment was "Losing to the Patriots is like losing to a volleyball team." Ha!)
M messaged me today that he was going to a funeral and I was confused. The manager for the sushi restaurant we go to all the time (that is literally across the street) passed away. I hadn't realized, I mean I knew I hadn't seen him and that there was a special sushi roll called RIP Mikey but I was really tried that day and didn't ask.
But a neighbor saw the obituary in the paper and told M's mom and they went. He was the same age as M and even though I never spoke to him outside the restaurant knowing I'd see him was one of the highlights of going. He always had a smile and always spoke to us for a few minutes and just he had a way of lighting up the place.
I hope you feel better Laura.
