Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

I mean you’re younger than Spike and Angel too!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I mean you’re younger than Spike and Angel too!

Oh, yeah! Excellent! Suck it, demons and other creatures of the night!

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Don't insist too hard, she might just end up calling you "vieja."

Not only am I older than Buffy Summers, I am also older than Rupert Giles. Probably the only BTVS character I'm younger than at this point is Anya.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Happy Birthday, meara!

I hated the pruning job the new owners had done on the oak trees at the apartments where I lived in 2007. Beautiful, stately old oaks that shaded the entire westward facade of the building and they cut down every branch lower than 30 feet. Clearly their priority was making the building visible from the street to sell it rather than the views and cooling bills of tenants once they actually bought a unit.

I am glad that all the trees managed to survive despite losing half their foliage after a hot, dry summer.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My neighbor took out the apple tree that was in their front yard to park their boat there instead. It didn't give me any shade or for that matter apples, but I remember when it came up as a volunteer in the lawn and the then owners of the house just started mowing around it to give it a chance, so I'm a little sad that it's gone now.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Happy birthday, meara!

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Many happy returns of the day, meara. I didn't get to talk with you at JZ's gathering, but you looked fabulous! I'm so glad you're here.

Thrive to spite them

I'm back for my follow up. One of my Academy trainerswas out this week and will be out next week with an injury. My Team Lead is out sick (possibly covid I don't know). And once again overnight left things a mess and it was a scramble to get things done.

I was feeling better so I did maybe more than I should. My shoulder doesn't hurt as much but there still is a knot of tightness and I'm worried about over doing it.

Also overnight shift left a pallet under the steel shelves that the base is packs of bottled water (half fallen over) with packs of water and soda on top of that and buckets and bags of cat littler on top of that. The top 2 layers are leaning over. There is no way to pull it out without taking almost everything off by squatting down and leaning under the steel. Which is one way I strained my shoulder. (If you try to lift the pallet jack up to move it the pallet bows in the center and this causes everything to shift.

We have a baby turtle in the house. Or we did. Not sure if it's still there. Cousin W (who is on week 2 of sleeping on our couch again) found it and decided it would make a good pet for his daughter (who lives with her mother and grandmother). I kept telling everyone to wash their hands after touching it.
